Goldmund’s ultimate expression of amplification has arrived: the Goldmund Telos 9800 Ultimate Power Amplifier.

Designed for the world’s most demanding music systems, the Telos 9800 amplifier represents the culmination of Goldmund’s decades-long pursuit of precision, control, and musical truth. Building on the foundations of the Telos 8800, it introduces an entirely new platform engineered without compromise.

A Fundamental Architectural Advance

For the first time in a Goldmund amplifier, the power supply and amplification stages are housed in separate, interconnected enclosures. This dual-chassis architecture allows each function to operate under optimal electrical and mechanical conditions, minimizing interference while reinforcing overall system integrity.

The dedicated power supply delivers exceptional stability and current reserves through 10 kVA of transformer capacity paired with the largest capacitor bank Goldmund has ever developed (648 mF). Custom-designed capacitors, in-house engineered transformers, next-generation MOSFET output devices, and a newly developed SoftStart circuit work together to provide greater stability, faster transient response, and authoritative loudspeaker control.

Design

Developed in collaboration with designer Cécile Barani, the Telos 9800 introduces a refined mechanical architecture and aesthetic language. Two distinct yet interconnected volumes create a striking sculptural presence, available in grey or black finishes. A discreet gold plate marks the junction between the power supply and amplification sections.
