Miniaturize to Expand

Accordo is a two-way compact loudspeaker with a specular, mirror-image design.

Rather than trying to make a small enclosure behave like an oversized loudspeaker, Franco Serblin embraced the advantages of a compact design—less mass and visual presence in exchange for greater air, speed and immediacy.

The result is a speaker designed around soundstage, focus, depth and musical coherence.

Handcrafted Solid-Wood Cabinet

The distinctive arch-shaped enclosure is constructed from solid wood and reinforced with aluminum-magnesium components to increase rigidity and control unwanted resonance.

Each cabinet is handcrafted by master artisans, giving Accordo the unmistakable appearance and feel of a Franco Serblin loudspeaker.

Custom Two-Way Driver System

Accordo uses a 29mm silk-dome tweeter designed by Ragnar Lian together with a custom 150mm sliced-paper-cone midwoofer.

The midwoofer incorporates a symmetrical drive motor system and is optimized to control cone breakup, while the tweeter is the result of a design that evolved over decades.

Together they create the natural, coherent presentation that defines the Accordo.

The Stand Is Part of the Speaker

The dedicated 74cm Accordo stand isn't simply something to place the speaker on.

It was designed as an integral part of the system and actually houses the crossover network outside of the main acoustic enclosure. Moving the crossover away from the drivers helps reduce potential interference while also giving the speaker and stand their distinctive visual balance.

The crossover itself uses a minimalist, low-order, phase-coherent design with selected premium components, developed for precise imaging, focus and depth.
