Overview

Essenza by Bassocontinuo Genesis Neutron Audio Video Rack

The Essenza by Bassocontinuo Genesis Neutron is a wide-format modular audio/video rack designed to provide high-performance electronics with a stable, mechanically controlled foundation. Part of the Genesis Line, Neutron combines Italian design with Bassocontinuo's approach to vibration management in a configuration ideally suited to larger HiFi systems, home theaters, and installations requiring multiple components positioned side-by-side.

Designed and manufactured in Italy, the Neutron uses a substantial five-leg solid-steel structure supporting 22 mm HDF shelves. Height-adjustable solid stainless-steel spikes provide a precise interface with the floor, while included floor-saving discs protect finished surfaces.

Wide-Format Audio & Video Configuration

At 1130 mm / 44.5 inches wide, the Genesis Neutron provides significantly more equipment space than a conventional tower-style audio rack. Each level provides two usable component positions measuring 510 × 450 mm / 20.1 × 17.7 inches each, making the Neutron particularly well suited to systems incorporating multiple source components, preamplifiers, processors, power supplies, media players, and other audio/video electronics.

Each position supports up to 40 kg / 88 lb, with a total capacity of 80 kg / 176 lb per shelf, providing the substantial support required by serious high-performance components.

Harmonic Damping & Mechanical Decoupling

The Neutron is engineered to do more than simply organize equipment. Five HDR Harmonic Damping Resonators are positioned beneath the top shelf to help manage unwanted resonance and provide a more controlled foundation for sensitive electronics.

Rubber washers positioned between the steel legs and shelves provide additional mechanical decoupling, helping isolate components from vibration transmitted through the rack structure.

Modular and Upgradeable

The Genesis Neutron is designed around a modular architecture that allows the rack to evolve alongside the system it supports. Its wide-format layout provides substantial flexibility for two-channel and home theater installations while maintaining a clean, organized presentation.

The system is also designed to remain upgradeable aftermarket, allowing its configuration and isolation capabilities to evolve as equipment or system requirements change.

Stormy Black Finish

The Neutron is finished in the Genesis Line's understated Stormy Black, giving the rack a clean, contemporary appearance that allows it to integrate naturally into dedicated listening rooms, media rooms, and modern living spaces.

Its low-profile horizontal proportions make it particularly attractive for installations where a traditional tall equipment rack would interfere with the room design, loudspeaker placement, or video display.
