I love this place, Ryan and Chris were very helpful. I spent numerous hours listening to speakers over a couple of days until I decided on what I wanted. I came in for some SVS speakers but I was able to compare across several different speaker brands in the same price range. They where very accommodating. I will tell anyone who is in to Home theater or 2 channel to stop by and talk with these guys. They have products suited for all types of price ranges. Five stars all the way around. They even assisted me over the phone with questions I had setting up. They are my go to for HI-Fi!

Wow, this showroom is amazing! Grid has an amazing selection of HiFi equipment, and their staff is knowledgeable and approachable. I bought a cheap-ish sound bar from them and they treated me like royalty! The unit had a problem but they took it back and ordered me a new one immediately with no drama! It's been over a year and I still love my purchase and visiting Grid to see the latest audio equipment!

I came from far away during business hours, and the store was closed! Although they have working hours and a weekday. There are no warnings or announcements. Wasted time and gas. I don’t recommend it, as you might just waste your time.

I can’t recommend this company enough. The customer service and assistance they provide is second to none. Truly above and beyond. I can give no greater example than what they did for me and my family today. We live in the DFW area and we were in Houston for a Marine Corps reunion. I’ve always wanted to see the show room and needed to demo some speakers for my home theater. They called in a technician ON A SUNDAY when they were actually closed just to accommodate me and my family. I was blown away with the level of customer service Ryan and Chris provided. The knowledge and hospitality was next level. If this doesn’t tell you what they are as a company I don’t know what will. They have earned a customer for life. I didn’t even mention the amount of options and level of equipment they have to offer and on display. Nothing like it. If you need anything home electronics give them your business. They deserve it.
This place is absolutely amazing! Ryan who works there is really knowledgeable on recievers and went out of his way to help me solve some problems with my older denon that I couldn't get to connect to my new TV. Ryan took the time to explain the process of what was needed to be done and even checked on me when I got home to see if I was able to get it working. Really kind person and you don't get that often nowadays. Their speaker selection is top of the line and out of this world. Highly recommended!!! 🥰

Had the luxury to visit the store this weekend, we were welcomed by Jeff. Really nice and knowledgeable person in the field of Audio. The amazing setup with high end Mcintosh Amps, Preamp and their speakers changed our perspective on sound even though I am use to Parasound, Marantz, Emotiva, Klipsch & Martin logan products.Now time to start finalizing and narrow down my wish list to build a nice System for myself.Will definitely give them the business for all my future purchases.It’s a blessing to have a store like this in your local community - Treat yourself, go and check them out even if you’re not an audiophile - cos I can guarantee you will get into this hobby for sure.
Loved this place! Jeff spent so much time with me helping me pick the right speakers for my setup. He was very patient with all my questions and he was extremely knowledgeable in all the equipment. While this is an appointment only high end audio store, they didn't act elitist when it came to my setup, and they were very down to earth. This is my new go to place for high end audio.

Houston Audio is wife approved. 😄 The speakers are everything your man has been begging you for, yet they are so sleek and aesthetically pleasing, you will barely see them (but definitely hear them!) The speakers can enhance any room in your house. After spending time around the speakers I have grown to an understanding of how the speakers work and how they can truly change the way your favorite song or movie sounds-in the best way. Jeff & Eddie have staged beautiful demo rooms at H.A. that provide a unique experience in each room. It truly adds to the entire listening experience! I definitely recommend stopping by and listening in each room.
A striking refinement to Meze’s gorgeous open-back headphones
When I first laid eyes on the original Meze Audio Empyrean wired headphones, I was blown away. It was one most finely crafted set of headphones I’d ever seen, held, or worn. The Empyrean II planar magnetic headphones build on that well-put-together foundation — with a new intricate grille pattern and a more linear sound tuning.
Sonic accuracy and authority
Before updating the Empyrean, Meze’s acoustic engineer Alex Grigoras said that he gathered feedback from the high-end headphone community. “I wanted to understand their expectations,” he said. While discerning listeners found the deep bass impact “endearing” in the original model, they craved a little more detail in the upper mids and highs.
Meze teamed up once again with Ukrainian research team Rinaro for their special type of driver for planar magnetic headphones. By separating the voice coil on the transducer, Rinaro figured out a way to deliver the spacious, evenhanded planar sound — with Meze’s authoritative bass. Alex and team made some tuning tweaks to preserve the powerful low-end punch, while serving up more clarity and presence across all frequencies.
Solidly constructed with fine attention to detail
In true Meze Audio fashion, updating the design became an exercise in steady patience. Sonically, aesthetically, and structurally, the Meze team struggled to strike the right balance. They said they went through many design tweaks before landing on the final materials and proper new pattern for the out-facing grille. Then the geometry fell into place.
From a distance these might look like closed-back headphones, but a closer look at their robust aluminum grille reveals a different story. The etched art-deco-inspired pattern on each earcup allows air to flow in and out freely. The small, symmetrical openings are chiseled by hand with the help of a CNC milling machine — a process that takes several hours for each earcup.
Incredibly comfortable and beautifully packed
The Empyreans are among the physically largest headphones out there, but they also might be the easiest to wear at this size. A flexible, carbon-fiber headband acts as a spine for a leather strap that hugs the crown of your head. This evenly distributes the weight of the headphones, so you can wear them for long periods of time.
Meze packs two sets of thick, soft earpads — one that blends leather with Alcantara® and one angled set made from just Alcantara — inside a heavy-duty, luggage-size carrying case. The pads delicately cradle the head, avoiding pressure points, yet still manage to stay securely in place as your head moves.
