Audyssey speaker calibration and system optimization are included, featuring MultEQ auto setup and room calibration for balanced, dynamic sound with enhanced surround performance. Dynamic Volume anticipates loud sounds to maintain consistent listening levels, while Dynamic EQ improves dialogue clarity, bass response, and surround channel balance at lower volumes. Additional customization is available through the Audyssey MultEQ Editor app (paid app, not included).

The receiver includes built-in Wi-Fi for streaming music from a networked PC, free internet radio, and supported music services. HEOS Built-in technology allows wireless connection to compatible HEOS components for whole-home audio, with support for Pandora, TIDAL, SiriusXM, and Spotify (subscriptions required for some services). The free HEOS app provides convenient Wi-Fi control, system settings, and music selection and playback.

Voice control is supported through Alexa and Gemini controllers, while Apple AirPlay 2 enables direct streaming from an iPhone or iPad and voice control via Siri for Apple Music. The system also supports multi-room audio with compatible wireless speakers.

Built-in Bluetooth allows wireless music playback from smartphones, tablets, and compatible computers, as well as Bluetooth transmission to headphones. Audio can be played through Bluetooth headphones alone or simultaneously through both headphones and connected speakers.

High-resolution digital music playback is supported via USB storage devices or networked computers, including PCM files up to 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD up to 5.6 MHz. Denon’s Compressed Audio Restorer enhances the sound quality of MP3s and other compressed digital music files. The receiver also works as a Roon player with a valid subscription and a Roon Core running on your network, which acts as the media server software on a computer, NAS drive, or other compatible hardware.
