Its extended radiating surface delivers controlled vertical dispersion, exceptional dynamic capability, and consistent sound distribution across the listening area.

Designed for installation behind acoustically transparent projection screens or as a main or surround loudspeaker, the LS3i combines substantial output with the architectural integration required for a professionally designed theater.

A 60-Inch Planar Magnetic Line Source

The LS3i uses a two-way, 60-inch planar magnetic driver built around a lightweight PEEK-film diaphragm.

Its line-source architecture minimizes floor and ceiling reflections while maintaining broad horizontal dispersion. This gives system designers greater control over the sound reaching the audience, particularly in large rooms and theaters with multiple seating rows.

Wisdom Audio specifies a sensitivity of 98 dB at 2.83 volts and one meter, with peak power handling exceeding 5,000 watts.

Designed for Reference-Level Output

A single LS3i is rated by Wisdom Audio to produce sound pressure levels exceeding 127 dB at a distance of 12 feet.

Its 60-inch line source is designed to maintain consistent dynamic expression throughout the listening space, making it suitable for demanding cinema soundtracks and large-scale music reproduction.

The LS3i's controlled radiation pattern also helps reduce the influence of floor and ceiling reflections, allowing the room's acoustic treatment and loudspeaker placement to work together.

Active Crossover and Dedicated Amplification

The LS3i is a two-way active loudspeaker requiring two amplifier channels per speaker.

An external active crossover and digital signal processing are mandatory. The manufacturer's manual specifies a crossover frequency of 750 Hz.

The high-frequency and midrange/bass sections each present a nominal impedance of 5.6 ohms.

This configuration allows the loudspeaker's two sections to be amplified and calibrated independently as part of a complete audio system.

Built Into the Architecture

At 64.7 inches tall and 23.75 inches wide, the LS3i is designed for substantial architectural installations.
