Overview
VPI Cliffwood Turntable
The VPI Cliffwood Turntable brings VPI’s American-made turntable engineering to a more accessible analog platform. Designed and made in the USA at VPI’s facility in Cliffwood, New Jersey, the Cliffwood combines a machined aluminum platter, 9-inch gimbal tonearm, and factory-installed Ortofon 2M Red cartridge into a complete vinyl playback package.
Unlike many turntables in its class, the Cliffwood maintains VPI’s commitment to domestic manufacturing while incorporating many of the design principles found throughout the company’s higher-end turntable lineup.
At the heart of the Cliffwood is a 9-inch machined aluminum gimbal tonearm, paired from the factory with an Ortofon 2M Red moving-magnet cartridge. The cartridge arrives pre-mounted, making the Cliffwood an excellent choice for listeners who want serious analog performance without having to build a turntable package from individual components.
The substantial 11.5-inch, 7-pound machined aluminum platter provides a stable foundation for vinyl playback, while the vinyl-wrapped MDF chassis creates a rigid and straightforward platform for the platter, motor, and tonearm assembly.
