The Tributaries Series 8PC MKII is a reference-grade phono cable designed for high-performance turntables and dedicated phono preamplifiers. Hand-assembled in Orlando, Florida, it combines 20AWG Linear Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper (LC-OFC) conductors, precision-twisted Twin-Axial geometry and dual shielding to preserve delicate cartridge signals while minimizing interference.
Supplied as a stereo RCA cable pair with a separate 14AWG ground wire, the 8PC MKII provides the low-noise connectivity essential for premium vinyl playback.
Multi-Gauge LC-OFC Conductors
Tributaries uses high-purity Linear Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper, carefully drawn to minimize crystal boundaries within the conductor.
Its multi-gauge solid-core design incorporates individually insulated conductors selected for balanced low-, mid- and high-frequency transmission. This construction minimizes strand interaction and supports accurate reproduction of low-level phono signals.
Twin-Axial Geometry and Dual Shielding
The precision-twisted Twin-Axial architecture uses dedicated positive and negative signal conductors with a separate shield connected at the source end.
Dual shielding helps reject electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, particularly important for the extremely low output voltages produced by moving magnet and moving coil cartridges.
Premium RCA Connectors and Dedicated Ground Wire
The 8PC MKII features gold-plated Tellurium copper RCA connectors engineered for high conductivity and secure electrical contact.
A separate 14AWG silver-plated Pure Continuous Cast Copper (PCCC) ground wire terminates in gold-plated spade lugs compatible with grounding posts up to 4mm in diameter. This dedicated grounding connection helps reduce unwanted hum between the turntable and phono stage.
