The Tributaries Series 8AB MKII is a reference-grade balanced XLR interconnect engineered for high-end stereo systems, DACs, preamplifiers and power amplifiers. Hand-assembled in Orlando, Florida, it combines Linear Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper (LC-OFC) conductors, precision-twisted triple-balanced geometry and dual shielding to preserve low-level musical detail while rejecting electromagnetic interference.
Multi-Gauge LC-OFC Conductors
Tributaries uses individually insulated solid-core copper conductors of different gauges, selected for their electrical characteristics across the audio spectrum. The 20AWG LC-OFC conductor system minimizes strand interaction and maintains consistent signal transmission.
Triple-Balanced, Dual-Shielded Construction
Three dedicated conductors carry positive, negative and ground signals with matched impedance. A separate shielding system helps reject EMI and RFI, making the 8AB MKII particularly suitable for balanced connections between high-resolution source components, preamplifiers and power amplifiers.
Tellurium Copper XLR Connectors
Proprietary Tellurium copper XLR contacts provide high conductivity and mechanical durability. Silver-soldered terminations maintain reliable electrical connections, while the female connector's extended ground pin establishes ground contact before the signal pins during connection.
