Overview
Transrotor ZET 3 Turntable
More Mass. More Engineering. More Room to Grow.
The Transrotor ZET 3 takes the unmistakable design of the ZET 1 and builds on it with a more substantial mechanical foundation.
At its heart is a 12 kg platter supported by a beautifully constructed acrylic–aluminum–acrylic sandwich chassis. The combination brings together the visual elegance of polished acrylic and the rigidity of aluminum, creating a turntable designed around precision, stability, and long-term flexibility.
With the ability to accommodate two tonearms, an optional TMD bearing, and a dedicated equipment rack, the ZET 3 is more than a beautiful record player. It's a platform for building a serious analog system around your music collection.
A 12 kg Platter That Means Business
The ZET 3's substantial aluminum platter is one of its defining features.
Measuring 70 mm thick and weighing approximately 12 kg, it provides considerable rotational inertia to help maintain consistent speed as the stylus tracks the record groove.
A black platter mat and aluminum record weight complete the assembly, providing a carefully engineered foundation for vinyl playback.
The platter is a meaningful distinction from the ZET 1, reflecting Transrotor's approach of using greater mass and carefully selected materials where they serve the mechanical design.
Three Layers. One Purpose.
Look closely at the ZET 3 and you'll see what makes its construction distinctive.
The chassis features a sandwich of acrylic, aluminum, and acrylic. This layered architecture combines materials with different mechanical characteristics in a substantial, highly polished structure.
The aluminum center layer creates a striking visual contrast between the acrylic sections while contributing to the turntable's rigid foundation.
It's engineering that doesn't need to hide behind a conventional enclosure. The ZET 3 puts its construction on display.
Two Tonearms. Two Ways to Experience Vinyl.
The ZET 3 can accommodate a second tonearm using an optional mounting base.
Both 9-inch and 12-inch tonearm bases are available, allowing you to configure the turntable around different cartridge and tonearm combinations.
A dual-arm system opens up interesting possibilities. You might dedicate one tonearm to a moving-coil cartridge and another to a moving-magnet design, or configure different cartridges for particular records.
When installing a second tonearm, the motor must be relocated to a separate stand to provide the necessary space.
Upgrade to Transrotor Magnetic Drive
The ZET 3 is compatible with Transrotor's optional TMD bearing system.
TMD stands for Transrotor Magnetic Drive. It uses magnetic coupling within the drive mechanism to reduce the direct mechanical transmission of unwanted vibration to the platter.
This upgrade allows owners to develop the ZET 3's bearing and drive architecture without replacing the complete turntable.
Important configuration detail: Your U.S. distributor's ZET 3 upgrade kit is not compatible with its listed second-motor option. These should be presented as alternative upgrade paths in Shopify, not options customers can select together.
An Analog System Designed Around You
The ZET 3 is designed to be configured rather than purchased as a fixed, one-size-fits-all package.
Choose a compatible tonearm and cartridge, select the appropriate Konstant power supply, and decide whether additional accessories or upgrades suit your system.
A dedicated ZET 3 rack stand is also available, providing a purpose-built support solution for customers who want to make the turntable the centerpiece of their listening room.
From a straightforward single-tonearm system to a more elaborate configuration, the ZET 3 offers considerable flexibility.
