Transrotor Max Nero Turntable

Transrotor MAX Nero Turntable | Vinyl Sound Buffalo, NY USA – Vinyl Sound USA

More Than a Black Finish. A Different Approach to Analog.

The Transrotor Max Nero takes the minimalist philosophy of the original Max and gives it an entirely different material foundation.

Its black appearance is striking, but the real story is what lies beneath it. Rather than simply applying a dark finish to the aluminum Max, Transrotor developed the Nero around polyoxymethylene (POM), a dense, rigid engineering material selected for its resonance-damping properties.

The result is a precision-built turntable with a POM and steel chassis, a substantial POM platter, and stainless-steel components. Its understated design allows the engineering to take center stage while creating an elegant foundation for a serious vinyl playback system.

POM Construction: Engineered for Resonance Control

Every turntable must contend with unwanted mechanical energy. Vibrations originating from the motor, supporting furniture, and surrounding environment can interfere with the delicate process of retrieving information from a record groove.

Transrotor addresses this challenge in the Max Nero through its use of POM.

This precisely machined material combines structural rigidity with effective resonance damping. The POM platter and POM/steel chassis are designed to provide a mechanically stable foundation while reducing unwanted resonant behavior.

The Max Nero is therefore not merely an alternative colorway of the original Max. Its material selection represents a different approach to the turntable's mechanical construction.

Precision Belt-Drive Engineering

The Max Nero employs a separately positioned motor and belt-drive architecture, keeping the motor assembly apart from the main turntable structure.

Its motor is specifically designed to complement the Nero's construction, while the substantial platter provides rotational mass for stable vinyl playback.

A steel record weight completes the basic configuration, helping secure the record against the platter during listening.

The combination of a carefully engineered drive system, substantial platter, and resonance-conscious construction makes the Max Nero a compelling foundation for a high-performance analog system.

One Turntable. Multiple Ways to Build Your System.

The Max Nero is designed with flexibility in mind.

Its continuously adjustable tonearm base allows the turntable to accommodate different tonearm configurations, including 9-inch and 12-inch options.

An optional second tonearm base can be installed on the left side, allowing two tonearms to operate on the same turntable.

For vinyl enthusiasts, this creates opportunities to explore different cartridge technologies or maintain separate playback configurations for different record collections.

The Max Nero can also be configured with compatible Transrotor Konstant power supplies, including the EINS, Studio, and M-1 Reference.

Whether you're assembling your first serious analog system or developing a more ambitious dual-tonearm configuration, the Max Nero provides room to grow.

Configure Your Transrotor Max Nero

The Max Nero is available as a configurable turntable rather than a single fixed package.

Choose between 9-inch and 12-inch deck configurations, select the appropriate power supply, and complete the system with a compatible tonearm and cartridge.

An optional second tonearm base provides additional flexibility for listeners interested in a dual-arm system.

Please note: The deck-only configuration does not include a tonearm, cartridge, or power supply. These components must be selected separately to create a complete playback system.
