Based on Theory's sb25 loudspeaker, the iw25 retains its acoustic performance in a purpose-built, flush-mounted design. With exceptionally wide dispersion, a frequency response extending to 51 Hz and up to 123 dB peak output, it is designed for applications requiring substantial dynamics, accurate reproduction and minimal visual impact.

High-Output Performance in an Architectural Design

The iw25 features two 5-inch Theory carbon-fiber low-frequency drivers paired with a 1.4-inch Advanced Polymer compression driver. This driver configuration provides the output and dynamic capability required for demanding foreground music and home theater applications while maintaining the discreet appearance of an architectural loudspeaker.

Its integrated enclosure helps deliver consistent acoustic performance regardless of the surrounding wall cavity. With bass extension to 51 Hz (-6 dB) and a maximum peak output of 123 dB SPL at one meter, the iw25 is designed to reproduce everything from delicate musical passages to demanding movie soundtracks.

Wide, Uniform Sound Coverage

The iw25 delivers 125-degree conical coverage at -6 dB and 160-degree coverage at -12 dB, providing consistent sound across a broad listening area.

This dispersion makes it suitable for expansive living rooms, open-concept spaces, dedicated media rooms and commercial environments where uniform coverage is essential. Its controlled off-axis response is designed to maintain tonal consistency as listeners move away from the primary listening position.

Theory's published Klippel measurements demonstrate the loudspeaker's broad horizontal and vertical dispersion, including extended high-frequency coverage across a wide listening area.

Fully Enclosed, Low-Profile Installation

The iw25 uses a molded ABS frame with an integrated powder-coated steel back can. Its fully enclosed design eliminates the need to rely on the wall cavity as an acoustic enclosure, helping provide predictable performance across different installation environments.

With an installed depth of just 3.4 inches, the iw25 can be incorporated into a wide range of architectural designs. Six retractable mounting clamps secure the loudspeaker in place, while the included white rectangular metal grille provides a clean, discreet appearance.

An optional paintable all-weather grille is also planned for installations requiring additional environmental protection. Confirm accessory availability before ordering.

Flexible Low-Impedance and Distributed Audio Operation

The iw25 supports conventional 4-ohm operation as well as selectable 70V/100V distributed audio through its integrated transformer.

Transformer taps of 60W, 30W, 15W and 7.5W at 70V allow the loudspeaker to accommodate a variety of system designs, from dedicated residential listening rooms to larger commercial installations.

The iw25 requires a compatible Theory amplified loudspeaker controller and model-specific Theory-certified DSP processing to achieve its intended performance.
