Overview
T+A MP 1000 E Multi-Source CD Player, Network Streamer & DAC
High-end multi-source music player featuring a precision CD transport, 32-bit/384kHz Burr-Brown DAC, DSD256 playback, Roon Ready streaming, and balanced XLR outputs.
The T+A MP 1000 E combines a reference-quality CD player, high-resolution network music streamer, digital-to-analog converter, and digital radio tuner in one sophisticated component. Part of T+A's E-Series, it provides a complete digital music source for premium two-channel audio systems.
Built in Germany, the MP 1000 E features a 32-bit double-mono differential DAC, precision clock synchronization, high-bandwidth analog circuitry, and extensive digital connectivity. It supports PCM playback up to 384kHz and DSD up to DSD256 through its asynchronous USB input.
Precision High-End CD Transport
The MP 1000 E incorporates a dedicated audiophile CD mechanism engineered for accurate disc playback.
Unlike a general-purpose computer drive, its transport is optimized for music reproduction and works directly with the player's precision digital conversion circuitry.
Supported formats include:
-
Audio CD (CD-DA)
-
CD-R
-
CD-RW
-
CD Text
A sophisticated clock resynchronization system minimizes timing errors before digital-to-analog conversion, supporting stable imaging and detailed musical reproduction.
32-Bit Burr-Brown Double-Mono DAC
At the heart of the MP 1000 E is a 32-bit/384kHz sigma-delta converter architecture using Burr-Brown technology from Texas Instruments.
Its double-mono differential configuration provides independent signal processing for the left and right channels, helping maintain channel separation and reduce unwanted interference.
Two selectable digital oversampling filter modes allow the listener to tailor conversion characteristics.
A symmetrical, third-order phase-linear Bessel analog filter provides extended bandwidth up to 100kHz.
High-Resolution PCM and DSD256 Playback
The MP 1000 E supports high-resolution digital audio through its asynchronous USB-B DAC input.
-
PCM: Up to 32-bit/384kHz
-
DSD: DSD64, DSD128, and DSD256
-
USB Interface: USB Audio Class 2 asynchronous mode
The USB DAC connection allows compatible computers and digital sources to use the MP 1000 E's internal converter and analog output stage.
Supported resolutions depend on the connected device, operating system, and playback software.
Network Streaming and Roon Ready Integration
The integrated streaming client provides access to network music libraries and compatible streaming services.
Supported services include TIDAL, Qobuz, and Deezer, alongside internet radio and UPnP network playback.
The MP 1000 E is also Roon Ready, allowing integration into compatible Roon-based music systems with current firmware.
Network playback supports popular audio formats including FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, MP3, AAC, and OGG Vorbis.
The streaming client supports PCM files up to 24-bit/192kHz, with gapless playback for supported formats.
Comprehensive Digital Inputs
The MP 1000 E functions as a high-performance external DAC for additional digital sources.
Its Digital Connecting Board includes:
-
3 coaxial S/PDIF inputs: PCM up to 192kHz
-
2 optical Toslink inputs: PCM up to 96kHz
-
1 asynchronous USB-B input: PCM up to 384kHz and DSD256
-
2 USB ports: External storage and compatible USB media
A coaxial S/PDIF digital output is also provided for connection to compatible external equipment.
This connectivity makes the MP 1000 E a versatile digital hub for CD transports, televisions with compatible PCM output, network sources, and computer-based audio.
Balanced XLR and RCA Analog Outputs
The MP 1000 E incorporates a fully symmetrical analog output stage designed to preserve the performance of its internal DAC.
Both balanced and unbalanced connections are provided:
-
Balanced XLR: 5.0V RMS fixed output
-
Unbalanced RCA: 2.5V RMS fixed output
An optional VVM preamplifier module enables variable output level control, allowing the MP 1000 E to connect directly to compatible power amplifiers or active loudspeakers.
A 6.3mm headphone connection provides an additional listening option.
Bluetooth, Internet Radio and Digital Tuner
The MP 1000 E includes Bluetooth audio with aptX support for wireless playback from compatible devices.
Its integrated tuner supports FM, FM-HD, DAB, and DAB+ reception where broadcast services are available.
Internet radio is provided through the airable platform, expanding access to radio programming without requiring an external tuner.
T+A MusicNavigator and System Integration
The T+A MusicNavigator app provides control of compatible streaming functions from iOS and Android devices.
The included SRC 1 remote control also supports operation of compatible T+A components.
When paired with the T+A PA 1000 E integrated amplifier, the E-2 Link system connection enables coordinated control between the two components.
E-Series Construction and Finish Options
The MP 1000 E features substantial metal construction with a clean, understated design consistent with T+A's German engineering philosophy.
Its compact 17.3-inch-wide chassis integrates extensive digital and analog circuitry while maintaining a refined appearance suitable for dedicated high-end audio systems.
Available finish combinations include:
-
Silver chassis / Black side panels
