The T+A PA 2500 R is a reference-quality integrated stereo amplifier combining T+A's proprietary High Voltage (HV) amplification technology, dual-mono construction and two high-performance power supplies in a precision-engineered aluminum chassis. Delivering 140 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 280 watts into 4 ohms and 560 watts into 2 ohms, the PA 2500 R provides the power and current delivery required to control demanding high-end loudspeakers.

Designed and manufactured in Germany, the PA 2500 R incorporates a fully balanced analog architecture, exceptionally wide frequency response, precision preamplification and extensive system connectivity.

Its sophisticated power supply design delivers up to 1,200 watts of available supply capacity, while a substantial 120,000µF reservoir supports dynamic performance during demanding musical passages.

The PA 2500 R is an ideal foundation for a reference two-channel system combining high-resolution digital sources, premium turntables and full-range loudspeakers.

T+A High Voltage Amplification Technology

The PA 2500 R incorporates T+A's proprietary HV circuit architecture, developed to provide exceptional linearity, dynamic headroom and low distortion.

Operating the signal stages at higher voltages than conventional transistor amplifier designs allows the circuitry to process demanding musical signals with substantial headroom.

Its double-mono configuration provides dedicated amplification architecture for the left and right channels, supporting precise stereo imaging, channel separation and consistent performance.

The power amplifier delivers a frequency response of 1Hz–150kHz, while the preamplifier extends from 0.5Hz to 300kHz.

High-Current Output: Up to 560 Watts per Channel

The PA 2500 R is engineered for demanding loudspeaker loads, delivering:

Dual High-Performance Power Supplies

The PA 2500 R features two regulated high-frequency sine-wave power supplies, providing greater output capability than the smaller PA 2000 R.

T+A developed this power supply architecture to deliver substantial current reserves without requiring oversized conventional transformers.

With up to 1,200 watts of available supply capacity and 120,000µF of reservoir capacitance, the amplifier maintains stable electrical conditions during demanding musical peaks.

Its larger chassis also accommodates increased heat-sink capacity for sustained high-power operation.

Precision Analog Preamplifier

The PA 2500 R incorporates a sophisticated analog preamplifier with exceptionally low distortion.

Specified performance includes less than 0.001% total harmonic distortion and intermodulation distortion, a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 109dB A-weighted and channel separation exceeding 90dB.

Selectable tone controls provide independent bass and treble adjustment from -6dB to +8dB, while the variable loudness function can be configured according to loudspeaker sensitivity.

These functions can be bypassed for listeners who prefer an unaltered signal path.

Balanced XLR and RCA Connectivity

The PA 2500 R provides extensive analog connectivity for reference audio components.

Three balanced XLR inputs accommodate high-performance DACs, network streamers and other balanced sources. Four RCA line-level inputs support additional analog components.

Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA preamplifier outputs provide flexibility for system expansion.

The amplifier also includes a front-panel headphone connection and two pairs of substantial loudspeaker terminals featuring rhodium-plated contact surfaces.

Optional MM and MC Phono Modules

For analog enthusiasts, the PA 2500 R supports optional T+A moving-magnet and moving-coil phono modules.

The MM module offers 16 selectable input capacitance settings, while the MC module provides 16 impedance settings for cartridge matching.

These internally installed modules allow direct turntable integration without requiring a separate external phono preamplifier.

Phono modules are optional and replace one existing line-level input.

Home Theater Integration

The PA 2500 R includes a configurable Surround Pass-Through function.

Balanced input 3 or unbalanced input 5 can be assigned for integration with a compatible home theater processor, allowing the amplifier to power the front left and right loudspeakers in a multichannel system.

This provides a practical solution for combining a dedicated reference stereo system with a premium home theater.

R2-Link system control, trigger connectivity and the included SRC 1 remote complete the integration features.

Precision Aluminum Construction

The PA 2500 R features a substantial chassis constructed from carefully machined and brushed aluminum.

Its increased height accommodates larger heat sinks and dual power supply architecture while maintaining the clean, architectural styling of the T+A R Series.

Available in Silver Anodized Aluminum and Black Anodized Aluminum, the PA 2500 R complements T+A's R Series music players, CD/SACD sources and turntables.
