Reference Analog Interconnects with Advanced Pure Silver Geometry

The Synergistic Research SRX XL XLR Interconnects represent the company's flagship approach to analog signal transmission. Available in RCA and balanced XLR configurations, these handcrafted cables combine extensive pure silver conductor geometries, air dielectrics, graphene-enhanced UEF Matrix Shielding and proprietary high-voltage conditioning.

Building on the original SRX interconnects, the SRX XL design increases the number of individually isolated pure silver Air Strings while retaining two substantial 10 AWG Silver/Copper Matrix conductors. The expanded architecture is intended to improve signal transmission while maintaining the flexibility required for installation in sophisticated reference audio systems.

Developed for connecting premium DACs, preamplifiers, CD players and other high-end analog components, the SRX XL Interconnects also feature interchangeable Gold and Master UEF tuning modules for system-specific adjustment.

Expanded 6N Pure Silver Air String Geometry

The SRX XL Interconnects use an elaborate conductor architecture that differs between RCA and XLR versions.

The RCA configuration incorporates 12 second-generation pure silver Air Strings and two 10 AWG Silver/Copper Matrix conductors, creating 14 separate geometries. The balanced XLR configuration increases the number of pure silver Air Strings to 18, for a total of 20 separate geometries.

Each Air String uses 99.9999% pure monocrystalline silver within a sealed air dielectric. The two Silver/Copper Matrix conductors use monocrystalline materials with PTFE insulation.

Synergistic Research employs individually isolated EXP cable geometries to provide additional mechanical separation and vibration control. The manufacturer developed this construction to support greater resolution, dynamic contrast and transient detail.

SRX XL UEF Matrix Shielding with Graphene

Electrical noise can affect the performance of sensitive analog audio components, particularly in complex systems containing multiple digital sources, power supplies and network equipment.

The SRX XL Interconnects incorporate Synergistic Research's advanced UEF Matrix Shielding. Two proprietary UEF compounds containing graphene are applied to the cable's UEF Cell, connectors, conductors and grounding architecture.

According to Synergistic Research, the updated shielding system is designed to reduce electrical interference while minimizing the influence of shielding on signal transmission. The company associates these treatments with a lower perceived noise floor, greater low-level detail and smoother high-frequency reproduction.

The design also incorporates UEF Ground Plane Technology, allowing the cable shielding to work with compatible Synergistic Research grounding systems.

SR20 Silver RCA and XLR Connectors

The SRX XL Interconnects are terminated with Synergistic Research's premium SR20 connectors, available in RCA or XLR configurations.

These connectors use high-purity, high-conductivity silver as their primary contact material, with PTFE insulation selected for its dielectric properties.

Their low-mass design and substantial contact surfaces are intended to support reliable electrical connections while complementing the cable's advanced conductor geometry.

Every termination is hand-soldered using 4% WBT silver solder.

Gold and Master UEF Tuning Modules

The SRX XL Interconnects include Gold and Master SR25 UEF tuning modules, allowing listeners to experiment with the cable's presentation.

The Gold modules are designed to emphasize warmth, fluidity and musicality. The Master modules are intended to emphasize resolution, extension and refinement.

Both modules operate outside the audio signal path. Their interchangeable design allows listeners to compare the manufacturer's two tuning options and select the configuration that complements their system.

The modules are handcrafted from carbon fiber and aircraft-grade aluminum, with 24-karat gold plating on the Gold version.

SRX XL High-Voltage Conditioning

Following assembly, each SRX XL Interconnect undergoes Synergistic Research's proprietary high-voltage conditioning process.

The manufacturer applies electrical pulses specified at up to one million volts using selected frequencies and modulation patterns. The SRX XL process incorporates extended-duration frequency sweeps and refinements to the company's Tesla Coil equipment.

Synergistic Research uses this treatment as part of its cable-conditioning process, with the stated aim of improving perceived openness, resolution and overall musical presentation.

Handcrafted in California

Each SRX XL Interconnect pair is individually assembled in Synergistic Research's California facility.

The RCA version requires approximately 10 hours of hand assembly and incorporates 28 point-to-point soldered connections. The XLR version requires approximately 12 hours and uses 34 point-to-point soldered connections.

After assembly and high-voltage conditioning, the cables undergo a five-day, three-stage burn-in process. A secondary UEF Blue treatment, originally developed for the company's SR Blue Fuses, is also applied.
