Advanced Silver Matrix and Silver Air String Construction

The SRX XL USB combines two third-generation Silver Matrix assemblies with separate Silver Air String conductors. Its construction is designed to provide dedicated paths for USB data and power while limiting unwanted interaction between them.

The Silver Matrix assemblies use monocrystalline conductors with copper cores, solid PTFE insulation and silver-braid shielding. The Silver Air Strings feature 99.9999% pure monocrystalline silver conductors housed in sealed air dielectrics.

Individual EXP-isolated geometries provide additional separation and vibration isolation. Synergistic Research also evaluates conductor direction during production as part of its cable assembly process.

SRX XL Matrix Shielding with Graphene

The SRX XL USB incorporates Synergistic Research's advanced UEF Matrix Shielding, developed to address radio-frequency interference and electrical noise in demanding digital audio installations.

Two proprietary UEF coatings incorporating graphene are applied to the cable's shielding architecture, connectors and UEF Cell. The manufacturer designed this system to improve noise rejection while reducing the sonic effects it associates with conventional shielding.

Silver-braid shielding and Quantum Tunneled Ground Plane Technology provide additional elements of the cable's electrical isolation strategy.

Synergistic Research describes the intended listening benefits as greater low-level detail, improved tonal density and a more natural presentation. As with other audio cable technologies, audible results depend on the connected equipment and system environment.

Gold and Silver UEF Tuning Modules

The SRX XL USB includes interchangeable Gold and Silver SR25 UEF tuning modules, allowing listeners to tailor the cable's presentation to their system.

The Gold module is intended to emphasize warmth and fluidity, while the Silver module is designed to emphasize information retrieval and refinement. These passive modules provide an additional way to experiment with system matching without changing the source component or DAC.

Their effects can be evaluated alongside speaker placement, equipment configuration and the rest of the system's cabling.

External Grounding for Digital Audio Systems

The SRX XL USB incorporates an external grounding connection compatible with optional Synergistic Research grounding accessories.

Connecting the cable to a compatible Ground Block or Active Ground Block allows its shielding system to become part of a coordinated grounding arrangement. This is particularly relevant in complex digital audio systems containing network switches, music servers, DACs and multiple power supplies.

Synergistic Research developed its UEF Ground Plane system to provide an additional path for managing electrical noise. Grounding accessories are available separately.

SRX XL High-Voltage Conditioning

After assembly, the SRX XL USB undergoes Synergistic Research's proprietary extended high-voltage conditioning process.

This manufacturing treatment applies high-voltage pulses at selected frequencies and modulation patterns to the completed cable and its connections. The SRX XL process uses extended sweeping-frequency treatments and updated Tesla Coil equipment.

Synergistic Research associates the process with improved musical clarity, openness and resolution. These are manufacturer-described listening benefits rather than independently established changes to USB data accuracy.

Handcrafted in California

Every SRX XL USB cable is handcrafted in Synergistic Research's California facility.

Production includes point-to-point wiring, 4% WBT silver solder, proprietary UEF treatments and an extended conditioning process. Each cable also undergoes a five-day burn-in procedure before completion.
