The Synergistic Research SRX XL Ethernet is a flagship network cable designed for high-performance digital audio systems. Combining 6N monocrystalline silver conductors, individually isolated cable geometries, advanced UEF Matrix Shielding and external grounding capability, it brings the company's SRX XL technologies to network audio.

Designed to connect premium music streamers, network switches and music servers, the SRX XL Ethernet addresses electrical noise within complex digital audio installations. Its construction combines Silver Matrix signal conductors with air-dielectric pure silver conductors, while an enhanced graphene-based shielding system provides additional isolation.

Handcrafted in California, every cable undergoes Synergistic Research's extended high-voltage conditioning and five-day burn-in processes. The result is an Ethernet cable engineered for reference systems in which network infrastructure, electrical grounding and component matching are carefully considered.

Advanced Silver Matrix and Air String Construction

The SRX XL Ethernet incorporates multiple isolated conductor geometries, combining two third-generation Silver Matrix assemblies, four Silver Air String cables and two medium-gauge Silver DC Air String cables.

The Silver Matrix conductors use monocrystalline material with a copper core and solid PTFE insulation. The Silver Air Strings employ 99.9999% pure monocrystalline silver within sealed air dielectrics.

This construction reflects Synergistic Research's approach to minimizing interaction between conductors and insulating materials. Individual EXP-isolated cable geometries provide additional mechanical separation, while the conductor layout is developed specifically for the demands of high-end network audio.

SRX XL Matrix Shielding with Graphene

Electrical interference from network switches, routers, power supplies and nearby components is an important consideration in complex digital audio installations.

The SRX XL Ethernet incorporates the company's advanced UEF Matrix Shielding, which uses proprietary UEF compounds and graphene treatments applied to the cable's shielding system, connectors and grounding architecture.

Synergistic Research developed this shielding system to reduce unwanted electrical noise while limiting the effect that conventional shielding can have on signal transmission. The company associates these treatments with improvements in perceived detail, tonal density and soundstage presentation.

The shielding system is complemented by silver-braid shielding and the company's Quantum Tunneled Ground Plane Technology.

SRX XL High-Voltage Conditioning

Every SRX XL Ethernet cable undergoes Synergistic Research's extended high-voltage conditioning process after assembly.

This proprietary treatment exposes the completed cable and its connections to high-voltage electrical pulses using specific frequencies and modulation patterns. The SRX XL process incorporates extended sweeping-frequency treatments developed using the company's updated Tesla Coil equipment.

The manufacturer uses this process as part of its approach to cable conditioning and sonic refinement. Its claimed audible benefits are system-dependent and should be evaluated through listening.

External Grounding with UEF Ground Plane Technology

The SRX XL Ethernet includes an external grounding connection designed for use with compatible Synergistic Research grounding accessories.

Connecting the cable to an optional Ground Block, Active Ground Block or compatible Galileo grounding system allows its shield to be incorporated into a coordinated grounding arrangement.

This capability makes the SRX XL Ethernet particularly relevant to reference systems that already use Synergistic Research grounding products across multiple components and cables.

SRX Carbon Fiber Tuning Modules

The SRX XL Ethernet includes interchangeable UEF tuning modules that allow listeners to experiment with the cable's presentation.

The Gold module is intended to emphasize warmth and fluidity, while the Master module is designed to emphasize detail, extension and refinement. Both operate outside the signal path.

Synergistic Research recommends allowing the cable to settle into the system for 48–72 hours before comparing the modules. Their effect can be assessed alongside the rest of the system's cabling, electronics and grounding arrangement.

Handcrafted in California

Each SRX XL Ethernet cable is individually assembled in Synergistic Research's California facility.

Construction includes point-to-point wiring, 12 hand-soldered connections using 4% WBT silver solder, proprietary UEF treatments and an extended conditioning process. The manufacturer specifies approximately eight hours of hand assembly, followed by a five-day burn-in procedure.

These production methods distinguish the SRX XL Ethernet from conventional factory-terminated network cables and reflect its position within Synergistic Research's flagship cable range.
