Synergistic Research Foundation XL RCA Interconnects

The Synergistic Research Foundation XL Interconnects bring technologies developed for the flagship SRX XL cable series to high-performance RCA and balanced XLR analog connections. Featuring twice the number of pure silver AirString conductors found in the previous Foundation SX generation, advanced Graphene-enhanced shielding and SRX XL high-voltage conditioning, these cables are engineered for greater resolution, improved dynamics and natural tonal reproduction.

Designed for connecting DACs, preamplifiers, streamers and other high-end audio components, Foundation XL incorporates a redesigned conductor geometry and shielding architecture. Synergistic Research developed the series to deliver a lower perceived noise floor, improved transient response and greater musical realism without introducing listening fatigue.

Pure Silver AirString Conductors

Foundation XL uses 99.9999% pure monocrystalline silver AirString conductors, individually isolated within sealed air and Teflon dielectrics. Compared with Foundation SX, the conductor count has doubled, with eight separate conductors in the RCA version and twelve in the balanced XLR version.

This expanded conductor architecture is designed to improve signal transmission, dynamic expression and low-level detail while preserving the natural timbre and harmonic texture of acoustic instruments and vocals.

SRX XL UEF Matrix Shielding with Graphene

Foundation XL incorporates the same advanced UEF shielding compound developed for Synergistic Research's flagship SRX XL cables. Its silver braided shielding is enhanced with a proprietary Graphene-based UEF treatment applied directly to the connectors and shielding system.

Carbon-fiber UEF Tuning Discs further refine the shielding architecture. Together, these technologies are intended to minimize electromagnetic interference and reduce the perceived grain and high-frequency harshness that can compromise an otherwise revealing audio system.

SRX XL High-Voltage Conditioning

Every Foundation XL Interconnect undergoes Synergistic Research's SRX XL High Voltage Conditioning process. This proprietary treatment applies one-million-volt electrical pulses at selected frequencies and pulse modulations over extended periods.

The completed cable also receives a secondary UEF Blue Treatment, originally developed for Synergistic Research's Blue Fuses, followed by a five-day, two-stage factory burn-in process.

According to the manufacturer, these treatments contribute to improved openness, resolution and overall musical presentation.

Included Gold and Purple Carbon Tuning Discs

Foundation XL Interconnects include interchangeable Gold and Purple Carbon Tuning Discs, allowing listeners to experiment with the cable's sonic presentation.

The Gold discs are designed to enhance harmonic richness and dimensionality, while the Purple discs emphasize clarity and soundstage extension. Their external placement provides an additional tuning option without requiring changes to the audio components themselves.

Available Configurations

Foundation XL Interconnects are available with silver-plated RCA or Neutrik XLR connectors. For balanced audio systems, Synergistic Research also offers an optional SR XLR connector upgrade featuring high-purity silver construction and Teflon insulation.
