Pure Silver AirString Technology for High-Performance Audio

The Synergistic Research Foundation SX 12 AWG AC Power Cable combines copper power conductors, pure-silver AirStrings and technologies developed for the company's flagship SRX cable series. Designed for high-fidelity audio systems, it offers an upgraded power connection for compatible DACs, network streamers, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers and other audio components.

Foundation SX uses three 12 AWG SR Copper conductors alongside two handcrafted 99.9995% pure-silver AirStrings. The silver conductors employ sealed air-dielectric construction, while the main copper conductors use EPDM insulation. This combination brings together two distinct conductor geometries within a single audiophile power cord.

The SX generation introduces graphene-based UEF treatment, carbon-fiber tuning discs and Synergistic Research's SRX Long Duration High Voltage Conditioning process. These technologies were developed to address the electrical and electromagnetic characteristics of the cable, with the manufacturer reporting improvements in perceived detail, dynamics and soundstage presentation over the original Foundation series.

Copper Conductors and Pure-Silver AirStrings

Foundation SX pairs three 12 AWG copper conductors with two separate silver AirStrings, handmade at Synergistic Research's California facility.

The silver conductors use air-dielectric construction to minimize contact with solid insulation. The main copper conductors use EPDM dielectric material, selected as part of the cable's overall geometry.

Synergistic Research developed this arrangement to combine conventional AC power delivery with the silver AirString technology found throughout its higher-end cable ranges.

For listeners upgrading from standard equipment-supplied power cords, Foundation SX offers a way to introduce Synergistic Research's conductor design without moving to its more elaborate active-shielded cable series.

SRX-Derived Shielding and High-Voltage Conditioning

The SX generation incorporates graphene-based UEF Matrix treatment applied to the cable's connectors. This technology originated in Synergistic Research's SRX development program and forms part of the manufacturer's approach to unwanted electrical noise.

Each completed cable also undergoes SRX Long Duration High Voltage Conditioning, a proprietary factory process involving extended frequency sweeps and high-voltage treatment.

Additional construction details include 4% silver-soldered connections, secondary UEF Blue Treatment and Synergistic Research's C07 pure-copper wall plug and G07 Gold IEC connector.

Gold and Purple carbon-fiber UEF Tuning Discs are included, allowing listeners to experiment with the manufacturer's intended tuning characteristics without replacing the cable.
