The Synergistic Research Foundation SX USB cable brings advanced conductor technology, graphene-based shielding and proprietary signal conditioning to high-performance digital audio systems. Designed to connect music servers, streaming transports and computers to compatible USB DACs, Foundation SX incorporates technologies developed for Synergistic Research's flagship SRX cable series.

Its four 23 AWG solid-copper conductors use a geometry closely related to the company's Atmosphere SX and Galileo Discovery USB cables. Solid polyethylene insulation and dual silver Mylar/braided shielding provide the foundation for its electrical design, while 24K gold-plated contacts ensure durable connections.

Foundation SX also incorporates UEF graphene shielding and Synergistic Research's three-stage, one-million-volt Quantum Tunneling treatment. According to the manufacturer, these technologies are intended to reduce perceived noise, improve low-level detail and deliver greater tonal accuracy and soundstage dimensionality compared with the original Foundation USB.
