The Synergistic Research Atmosphere SX Reference USB Cable is engineered for high-performance digital audio systems, combining advanced conductor technology, Level 4 UEF Matrix Shielding and adjustable sonic tuning. Designed for music servers, streamers and USB DACs, it incorporates technologies developed for Synergistic Research's flagship cable series to address electrical noise and refine digital music reproduction.

Building on the standard Atmosphere SX USB, the Reference version adds more advanced Graphene-enhanced shielding and Galileo SX Gold and Silver Tuning Modules. These technologies are designed to improve low-level detail retrieval, soundstage dimensionality and tonal accuracy while allowing listeners to tailor the cable's presentation to their system.

Level 4 UEF Matrix Shielding with Graphene

Atmosphere SX Reference USB features four 23-gauge solid Copper Matrix conductors with solid polyethylene dielectric insulation. Dual silver Mylar and braided shielding provide protection against electromagnetic interference, while two proprietary Graphene-based UEF coatings are applied to the cable, connectors and grounding system.

Its Level 4 UEF Matrix Shield incorporates strategically positioned Carbon Fibre Tuning Discs. This architecture is designed to manage shield resonance and reduce interference that can affect sensitive digital audio components.

Direct-to-Ground Shield Technology

Synergistic Research's UEF Ground Plane Technology provides a dedicated grounding path for the cable's shielding rather than relying exclusively on the connected components' grounds.

Atmosphere SX Reference USB can be connected to an optional Synergistic Research Ground Block or Active Ground Block, allowing the cable to become part of a comprehensive grounding system for high-end digital audio equipment.

Galileo SX Gold and Silver Tuning Modules

The Reference USB includes both Galileo SX Gold and Silver Tuning Modules, offering an additional level of system customization without placing the tuning circuitry directly in the digital signal path.

The Gold module is designed to emphasize warmth, musicality and a smoother presentation. The Silver module prioritizes air, detail and focus. Listeners can experiment with both to find the preferred balance for their DAC, digital source and overall audio system.

SRX High-Voltage Conditioning

Each Atmosphere SX Reference USB undergoes Synergistic Research's proprietary three-stage, one-million-volt conditioning process, followed by a secondary UEF treatment originally developed for its Blue Fuses.

The completed cable also receives a five-day, two-stage factory burn-in process. These treatments are intended by the manufacturer to improve signal transmission and musical performance.
