The Synergistic Research Atmosphere SX Reference Ethernet Cable is designed for reference-level digital audio systems, combining advanced noise management, precision conductor geometry and adjustable sonic tuning. Featuring Level 4 UEF Matrix Shielding with Graphene, tip-to-tip Ground Plane Technology and Galileo SX Gold and Silver Tuning Modules, it offers Synergistic Research's most advanced Ethernet design within the Atmosphere SX series.

Engineered for high-end music servers, network switches and streaming DACs, Reference Ethernet incorporates technologies developed for the flagship SRX cable series. Its specialized shielding, grounding and conditioning processes are intended to reduce interference and deliver greater resolution, soundstage dimensionality and natural musicality.

Level 4 UEF Matrix Shielding with Graphene

Atmosphere SX Reference Ethernet features eight 23-gauge solid copper conductors arranged in four twisted pairs, with solid polyethylene insulation and silver Mylar shielding.

Its Level 4 UEF Matrix Shielding incorporates two proprietary Graphene-based coatings applied to the cable, connectors and grounding system. Carbon-fiber UEF Tuning Discs are strategically positioned along the shielding matrix to address unwanted electrical noise and resonance.

This advanced shielding architecture is designed to preserve low-level musical information while reducing the high-frequency harshness and listening fatigue that Synergistic Research associates with interference in digital audio systems.

Tip-to-Tip Ground Plane Technology

A distinguishing feature of Atmosphere SX Reference Ethernet is its tip-to-tip Ground Plane Technology, providing a dedicated grounding architecture for the cable's shielding.

The cable can also connect to an optional Synergistic Research Ground Block or Active Ground Block. This allows the Ethernet connection to become part of a centralized grounding system alongside compatible interconnects and audio components.

Galileo SX Gold and Silver Tuning Modules

Atmosphere SX Reference Ethernet includes two interchangeable Galileo SX UEF Tuning Modules, allowing listeners to tailor the cable's sonic presentation to their equipment and listening preferences.

The Gold module is designed to emphasize warmth, liquidity and natural musical flow. The Silver module is intended to provide greater detail, focus and high-frequency air.

Both modules operate through the cable's shielding system rather than directly in the digital signal path.

SRX High-Voltage Conditioning

Each Reference Ethernet cable undergoes Synergistic Research's proprietary three-stage, one-million-volt conditioning process, followed by a secondary UEF treatment originally developed for the company's Blue Fuses.

A five-day, two-stage factory burn-in process completes production. Synergistic Research uses these treatments to refine the cable's electrical and sonic characteristics before delivery.
