Synergistic Research Atmosphere SX Ethernet Cable

The Synergistic Research Atmosphere SX Ethernet Cable is designed for high-performance network audio systems, connecting music servers, network switches and streaming components with an emphasis on noise management and signal integrity. Combining eight solid copper conductors, Level 2 UEF Matrix Shielding with Graphene and Synergistic Research's Ground Plane Technology, Atmosphere SX brings technologies developed for the company's flagship SRX cable series to digital music streaming.

Its proprietary shielding and conditioning processes are intended to reduce electrical interference, with the goal of delivering greater musical detail, a more expansive soundstage and natural, fatigue-free listening.

Precision Conductors and UEF Matrix Shielding

Atmosphere SX Ethernet uses eight 23-gauge solid copper conductors arranged in four twisted pairs, with solid polyethylene dielectric insulation and a specified maximum frequency of 500 MHz. Sixteen point-to-point hand-crimped connections and 24K gold-plated contacts complete the cable's construction.

Its Level 2 UEF Matrix Shield incorporates Graphene-enhanced coatings and strategically positioned carbon-fiber UEF Tuning Discs. Silver Mylar shielding provides additional interference protection, while the Matrix architecture is designed to address unwanted electrical noise in sensitive digital audio systems.

UEF Ground Plane Technology

Atmosphere SX Ethernet features a dedicated Ground Plane termination that allows the cable's shielding to be grounded independently of connected components.

For more comprehensive noise management, the cable can be connected to an optional Synergistic Research Ground Block or Active Ground Block. This provides a centralized grounding solution for network audio components and other compatible equipment.

SRX High-Voltage Conditioning

Each Atmosphere SX Ethernet Cable undergoes Synergistic Research's proprietary three-stage, one-million-volt conditioning process, followed by a secondary UEF treatment originally developed for its Blue Fuses.

A five-day, two-stage factory burn-in process completes production. These treatments are intended by the manufacturer to refine the cable's electrical and sonic characteristics.
