The StormAudio PA 8 Ultra MK2 is a reference-grade, eight-channel power amplifier engineered for high-performance home theaters and private cinemas. Delivering 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms or 400 watts per channel into 4 ohms with all eight channels driven, it combines substantial output power, low distortion and advanced system monitoring in a compact 3U chassis.

For installations requiring greater output, the PA 8 Ultra MK2 can be configured as a four-channel bridged amplifier delivering 800 watts per channel into either 8 or 4 ohms.

Developed in collaboration with Danish amplifier specialist Pascal Audio, the PA 8 Ultra MK2 incorporates high-efficiency Class D amplification, dedicated power supply technology and network-based monitoring for integration with compatible StormAudio processors.

Designed for demanding Dolby Atmos, DTS and other immersive audio installations, it provides the power, control and installation flexibility required for sophisticated multichannel loudspeaker systems.

Eight Channels of High-Performance Amplification

The PA 8 Ultra MK2 delivers substantial continuous output across all eight channels.

In standard eight-channel operation, each channel provides:

200W RMS into 8Ω

400W RMS into 4Ω

These ratings are specified with all channels driven at 0.1% THD+N, making the amplifier particularly suitable for demanding multichannel applications.

Its eight-channel configuration can power front, surround or height loudspeakers in a reference home theater, or form part of a larger system using multiple StormAudio amplifiers.

Four-Channel Bridged Mode: 800 Watts per Channel

The PA 8 Ultra MK2 supports Bridge Tied Load (BTL) operation, combining its eight amplifier channels into four higher-powered outputs.

In bridged configuration, the amplifier delivers:

4 × 800W RMS into 8Ω

4 × 800W RMS into 4Ω

This provides additional power for demanding front-channel loudspeakers, high-output cinema speakers or compatible passive subwoofers.

The amplifier operates with 26dB gain in standard mode and 32dB gain in bridged mode.

Pascal Audio Class D Technology

The PA 8 Ultra MK2 incorporates advanced Class D amplification developed through StormAudio's collaboration with Pascal Audio.

Its UMAC amplification technology is engineered for high efficiency, rapid transient response and low distortion.

The amplifier achieves a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 115dB and a specified THD+N below 0.005% at 1 watt.

With a damping factor greater than 400, the PA 8 Ultra MK2 provides substantial electrical control over connected loudspeakers.

High-Capacity Power Supply

The PA 8 Ultra MK2 incorporates Pascal Audio's UREC power supply technology, designed to respond rapidly to changing amplifier demands.

Four individual power supply sections provide substantial current reserves for dynamic movie soundtracks and demanding multichannel playback.

The amplifier's power supply architecture is engineered to maintain consistent performance during simultaneous high-output demands across multiple channels.

StormMonitoring Network Integration

The PA 8 Ultra MK2 features Ethernet connectivity for remote amplifier monitoring.

When integrated with compatible StormAudio ISP processors, the amplifier's operating information can be accessed through the processor's web-based interface.

StormMonitoring provides visibility into operating conditions, including amplifier temperature, fan speed, power status and protection alerts.

This functionality is particularly valuable for professionally installed private cinemas, where equipment may be housed in a dedicated rack or remote equipment room.

Balanced XLR Inputs and Professional Connectivity

Eight balanced XLR inputs provide reliable signal connectivity with compatible AV processors and preamplifiers.

The amplifier uses substantial three-way loudspeaker binding posts and supports external trigger control for automated power sequencing.
