Sonetto Center G2 uses a dedicated three-way configuration to distribute the workload across specialized drivers. The Camelia midrange operates in its own sealed enclosure, while two woofers work within a rear-vented cabinet.

This arrangement allows the midrange driver to focus on the frequencies that give voices their character while the woofers provide the lower-frequency foundation.

With a specified frequency response of 45 Hz–40 kHz, Sonetto Center G2 is designed to deliver substantial performance from a relatively compact center-channel enclosure.

 

Suprema-Inspired Camelia Midrange

At the heart of Sonetto Center G2 is a dedicated 4-inch Camelia midrange driver.

Developed from the acoustic technologies introduced in Sonus faber's flagship Suprema system, the Camelia design takes inspiration from the shape of a flower.

Its distinctive diaphragm geometry is engineered to manage unwanted resonances and support natural reproduction of the critical midrange frequencies.

A copper shorting ring is incorporated into the driver's motor system, while the dedicated sealed enclosure helps isolate it from the movement and pressure generated by the woofers.

For a center channel, this specialized midrange architecture is particularly relevant: it focuses engineering attention on the frequencies responsible for much of the intelligibility and tonal character of human voices.

 

Damped Apex Dome Tweeter

The 1.1-inch extended-frequency tweeter incorporates Sonus faber's Damped Apex Dome (D.A.D.) Arrow Point technology.

Its neodymium motor system includes a copper shorting ring.

Engineered for refined high-frequency reproduction, the tweeter handles the subtle details that give soundtracks their sense of realism, from the delicate ambience of a room to the crisp transients of cinematic effects.

 

Dual 6.5-Inch Woofers

Two 6.5-inch woofers provide the low-frequency foundation of Sonetto Center G2.

Equipped with aluminum demodulation rings, the drivers operate within a rear-vented enclosure.

Their combined output supports the body of voices, musical passages, and dynamic soundtrack effects while allowing the dedicated Camelia driver to concentrate on the midrange.

The three-way crossover integrates the drivers at 350 Hz and 4,000 Hz.
