Part of the Palladio Collection, the PC-682 is a 2-way in-ceiling loudspeaker designed for installations where the speakers should blend into the architecture without sacrificing the attention to detail that defines Sonus faber.

A 29 mm D.A.D. tweeter and 200 mm midwoofer work together in an infinite-baffle design, while the nearly flush magnetic grille keeps the finished installation clean and unobtrusive.

Palladio: Custom Installation Without the Compromise

Palladio was created around the idea that architectural audio does not have to look or sound generic.

The collection draws inspiration from the balance and symmetry of Italian Renaissance architecture, translating that philosophy into speakers designed for in-wall and in-ceiling installation.

The PC-682 takes that approach further with details normally associated with Sonus faber's freestanding loudspeakers, including a leather embellishment around the tweeter inspired by the company's Olympica Nova Collection.

A True 2-Way Design

The PC-682 combines two dedicated drivers:

29 mm D.A.D. Tweeter

The 29 mm D.A.D. driver handles the high frequencies with the extended, detailed presentation expected from Sonus faber.

Its position at the center of the speaker gives the PC-682 its distinctive appearance, while the leather detailing around the tweeter adds a subtle connection to Sonus faber's more traditional loudspeaker designs.

200 mm Midwoofer

A 200 mm / 8-inch midwoofer provides the majority of the speaker's output, giving the PC-682 the driver area necessary for convincing dynamics and full-range performance from an in-ceiling installation.

Together, the two drivers form a genuine 2-way system rather than treating the speaker as simply background audio.

Infinite-Baffle Design

The PC-682 uses an infinite-baffle configuration, allowing the speaker to use the architectural space behind the ceiling as part of its acoustic environment.

This approach eliminates the need for a conventional speaker enclosure protruding below the ceiling and allows the PC-682 to remain remarkably discreet once installed.

The Grille Is Part of the Design

The PC-682 includes Sonus faber's magnetic, edgeless, rounded metal grille, designed to make the speaker as unobtrusive as possible.

The grille can be removed without tools, making access straightforward when needed.

And because the grille can be painted to match the surrounding environment, the finished speaker can blend into virtually any ceiling treatment.

Two Grille Options

The PC-682 can be configured with:

The rounded grille is the standard design, while the square version provides another option for installations where the geometry of the ceiling calls for a more architectural appearance.

Designed for Easy Installation

The PC-682 uses a swing-out dogs fixing system that allows the speaker to be secured quickly and effectively into plasterboard.

For new construction, Sonus faber also offers an optional pre-mount kit, allowing the installation location to be established before the finished ceiling is installed.

That makes the PC-682 suitable for both retrofit projects and new-build construction.

Compact From the Room Side

Although the PC-682 incorporates an 8-inch midwoofer, the visible portion of the speaker remains relatively discreet.

The frame has an outside diameter of 283 mm / 11.1 inches, with a 257 mm / 10.1-inch cutout.

The required depth behind the ceiling surface is 142 mm / 5.7 inches.
