The Sonus faber PC-662P takes architectural audio beyond simply hiding speakers in the ceiling. Designed with an angled driver configuration that directs sound toward the listening position, this sophisticated in-ceiling loudspeaker combines purposeful acoustic engineering with the craftsmanship and natural musical character of Sonus faber.

Part of the Palladio Level 6 collection, the PC-662P features a 1.1-inch Damped Apex Dome (D.A.D.) tweeter and a 6.5-inch midwoofer, bringing the brand's high-fidelity engineering into a discreet architectural format.

Inspired by the design language of the Olympica Nova collection, its leather detailing adds a distinctly Italian touch, while paintable magnetic grilles allow the speaker to virtually disappear into the ceiling.

Not every listening position sits directly beneath a ceiling speaker.

In many architectural installations, loudspeakers must be positioned around lighting fixtures, structural elements, seating arrangements, and other design considerations. A conventional downward-firing ceiling speaker may not provide the desired sound direction for every application.

The PC-662P addresses this challenge with an angled driver configuration that directs acoustic output toward the intended listening area.

This makes it particularly useful for installations where the loudspeaker must be mounted overhead but the sound needs to be directed toward a specific seating position.

For custom home theaters, this design provides additional flexibility when incorporating ceiling channels into an immersive audio layout. The PC-662P draws inspiration from Sonus faber's Olympica Nova collection, incorporating leather embellishment around the tweeter as a subtle expression of the brand's design heritage.

But once installed, the speaker can become almost invisible.

The included edgeless, round metal grille attaches magnetically and can be painted to complement the surrounding ceiling finish. A square grille version is also available for projects that require a different architectural aesthetic.

This gives designers the freedom to coordinate the speaker with ceiling geometry, lighting fixtures, ventilation grilles, and other architectural details.

The result is a loudspeaker that preserves the visual integrity of the room without sacrificing the presence of a dedicated high-fidelity audio system.

Designed for Custom Installation

The PC-662P incorporates practical installation features developed for professional integrators.

Its swing-out dog mounting system allows the speaker to be secured to suitable plasterboard ceiling surfaces, while an optional pre-mount kit supports installation planning during new construction.

The speaker requires a circular cutout measuring approximately 9.6 inches in diameter and 6.8 inches of depth behind the mounting surface.

Once installed, the frame protrudes just 0.40 inches, allowing the magnetic grille to maintain a low-profile appearance.
