Part of the Palladio Level 5 collection, this premium in-ceiling speaker brings Sonus faber's signature acoustic technologies into a compact architectural format. A 6.5-inch midwoofer works alongside a 1.1-inch Damped Apex Dome (D.A.D.) tweeter to reproduce music with natural tonal character, clear vocals, and refined high-frequency detail.

Inspired by the Sonetto collection, the PC-562 incorporates satin aluminum trim around its tweeter, reflecting the Italian craftsmanship behind Sonus faber's traditional loudspeakers.

Its shallow mounting depth, paintable magnetic grille, and discreet circular profile make it an elegant solution for luxury living spaces, whole-home music systems, and custom entertainment rooms.

A Serious Loudspeaker Behind a Discreet Grille

The PC-562 is built around a two-way acoustic design that combines two purpose-built drivers with a carefully engineered crossover.

1.1-inch Damped Apex Dome tweeter

Sonus faber's D.A.D. technology uses a mechanical damping element to help control unwanted movement at the apex of the tweeter dome.

The 29 mm silk-dome driver handles high-frequency reproduction, contributing the detail and articulation needed for vocals, instruments, and the subtle ambience of recordings.

Its satin aluminum trim creates a visual connection to the Sonetto collection.

6.5-inch natural-fiber midwoofer

The 165 mm midwoofer uses a diaphragm made from natural fibers and cellulose pulp.

It provides the foundation for bass and midrange reproduction, giving music its body and helping voices sound convincing.

Paracross crossover topology

Sonus faber's Paracross crossover design is intended to reduce unwanted electrical resonance and support clean integration between the tweeter and midwoofer.

The PC-562's published crossover frequency is 3,000 Hz.

Designed to Blend In, Not Stand Out

The PC-562's understated appearance is one of its defining advantages.

Its included edgeless round metal grille attaches magnetically and can be painted to match the surrounding ceiling. An optional square grille is also available for installations where a more geometric appearance better complements the architecture.

With an outer diameter of just 9.2 inches and a protrusion of approximately 0.4 inches, the speaker maintains a low-profile appearance once installed.

The result is a clean ceiling that allows artwork, lighting, furnishings, and architectural finishes to remain the visual focus.

Built for the Way Homes Are Designed

The PC-562 is designed for professional architectural installation.

Its infinite-baffle configuration allows it to operate within a suitably prepared ceiling cavity rather than requiring an integrated sealed enclosure. A swing-out dog mounting system secures the speaker to appropriate plasterboard surfaces.

The speaker requires a circular cutout of approximately 8.19 inches and just 4.52 inches of clearance behind the ceiling surface.

That relatively shallow mounting depth gives designers flexibility when coordinating speaker placement with framing, lighting, HVAC, and other building systems.

An optional pre-mount kit is available to help establish speaker locations during new construction.

Custom home theater: Incorporate the PC-562 into a professionally designed multichannel system where conventional downward-facing ceiling speakers are appropriate. Speaker placement should follow the intended surround-sound layout.

Its 90 dB sensitivity and recommended amplifier power range of 40–200 watts provide useful flexibility when selecting amplification. With a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, the connected amplifier should be suitable for that load.

 

PC-562 vs. PC-562P: What's the Difference?

The PC-562 is the conventional downward-facing model, making it a practical choice for distributed audio and installations where the speaker is positioned appropriately relative to the listening area.

The PC-562P is the directional alternative for installations that benefit from sound being aimed toward a specific seating position.

The standard PC-562 also requires less ceiling depth: 4.52 inches versus 6.70 inches for the PC-562P.
