Maxima Amator returns to the materials that defined Sonus faber's earliest loudspeakers.

Its cabinet is crafted from solid walnut, with gently rounded edges and a beautifully proportioned silhouette. Black Italian leather, brass detailing, and a marble base complete the design.

Three Chambers. Three Distinct Purposes.

One of Maxima Amator's defining engineering features is its three-chamber cabinet construction.

The acoustic chamber houses the drivers and uses advanced damping materials to manage internal energy. Its three-layer damping structure combines recycled carbon fiber with a central silica-fiber layer.

The stability chamber contains inert material that adds mass and lowers the loudspeaker's center of gravity, improving stability while helping minimize unwanted resonances.

The crossover chamber isolates the crossover network from the vibrations generated within the main acoustic enclosure.

This thoughtful separation allows the cabinet to address acoustic performance, mechanical stability, and electrical component isolation individually.

Maxima Amator introduces Sonus faber's Interactive Fusion Filtering (IFF) crossover.

Building upon the company's established Paracross topology, IFF employs progressive filter slopes designed to create a cohesive transition between the tweeter and midwoofer.

The crossover operates at 2,100 Hz and is housed within its own dedicated cabinet chamber, away from the vibrations generated by the drivers.
