AN ENDURING LEGACY
The original Il Cremonese takes its name from renowned Italian luthier Antionio Stradivari’s most famous creation: a masterpiece violin lauded for its great vitality and surprising tonal balance. The innate versatility of the electroacoustic configuration of the original speaker revealed it to be a very effective bench test for new technological advancements. The result: complete sound neutrality, without resonance or coloration.

Il Cremonese Ex3me speakers are designed to deliver an uncompromisingly precise and transparent sound, without any interpretation of the musical message. This makes the speakers suitable as an extremely high-performance professional studio monitor. Il Cremonese Ex3me combines elements from the original project, such as midrange and woofers, with cutting-edge solutions to create Sonus faber’s 30th anniversary concept speakers.
SONIC ELEGANCE TAKES SHAPE
The Il Cremonese Ex3me loudspeaker maintains the quintessential and recognizable “Rhomboidal Diamond Design” of the original model. The cabinet's 5-sided shape breaks the rules of the traditional lute or lyre shape, resulting in cleaner lines and a more modern design. The absence of parallel walls removes standing waves and internal reflections that could compromise the acoustic characteristics of the speaker. To further strengthen the cabinet, two “Dampshelves” made from solid billet aluminum at the top and bottom of the speaker increase rigidity, lower resonance, and reduce spurious noise to preserve the purity of the musical message.

Where is your showroom?
