The Sonus faber Gravis V brings serious low-frequency authority to a high-end music or home theater system without sacrificing the design and craftsmanship expected from Sonus faber.

Designed to acoustically and visually complement the Sonus faber Homage Collection, Gravis V combines a large long-throw driver, 850 watts of Class AB amplification, sophisticated digital control, and the unmistakable Sonus faber combination of wood, leather and aluminum.

This is not simply a subwoofer added to a system. The Gravis V is designed to become part of it—extending the system's bass response while maintaining the speed, control and tonal character of the main loudspeakers.

Designed for the Sonus faber Homage Collection

The Gravis V was specifically developed to pair with the Sonus faber Homage Collection, both acoustically and visually.

Its clean, squared enclosure is intentionally understated, allowing the materials to do the work. An artisan-crafted wood or lacquer top is paired with Sonus faber's signature black leather sides and aluminum detailing.

The result is a subwoofer that looks like it belongs beside a pair of premium Italian loudspeakers rather than looking like an afterthought.

A 320 mm Long-Throw Driver

At the heart of the Gravis V is a 320 mm long-throw low-frequency driver featuring a sandwich honeycomb cone and wide rubber surround.

The sandwich construction is designed to provide a combination of rigidity and low moving mass, allowing the driver to move substantial amounts of air while maintaining control.

The result is deep bass with the definition necessary for both demanding music playback and cinematic effects.

850 Watts of Class AB Power

The Gravis V incorporates a high-performance Class AB amplifier rated at 850 watts RMS and 1,200 watts peak.

That power reserve gives the driver the headroom necessary to reproduce demanding low-frequency passages without making the subwoofer feel slow or disconnected from the main system.

The Gravis V is specified to extend down to 20 Hz at -6 dB, with the upper frequency limit continuously adjustable to integrate with the rest of the system.

Sophisticated System Integration

Wireless Capability

The Gravis V can also be paired wirelessly with Sonus faber's Gravis Transmitter, eliminating the need for a physical signal cable between the source or processor and the subwoofer.

The Gravis Transmitter is designed specifically for wireless connection to the Gravis III, Gravis V and Gravis VI.
