Electa Amator III uses a classic two-way architecture, pairing a dedicated tweeter with a substantial midwoofer.

28 mm Damped Apex Dome Tweeter

The H28 XTR-04 tweeter features Sonus faber's Damped Apex Dome (D.A.D.) technology.

Its 28 mm soft dome is designed to reproduce high frequencies with clarity and extension while controlling unwanted dome behavior.

The tweeter also incorporates a dedicated solid-wood rear acoustic chamber, visible through the innovative rear reflex-port arrangement.

180 mm Cellulose-Pulp Midwoofer

The MW18XTR-04 midwoofer was specifically developed for Electa Amator III.

Its 180 mm cellulose-pulp cone continues Sonus faber's longstanding use of natural materials in loudspeaker diaphragms.

The driver handles both the critical midrange and low frequencies, providing the foundation for the loudspeaker's two-way design.

With a manufacturer-specified frequency response of 40 Hz to 35 kHz, Electa Amator III delivers substantial bandwidth from its compact standmount enclosure.

 

A Cabinet Crafted from Solid Walnut

Unlike conventional loudspeakers that rely primarily on veneered composite panels, Electa Amator III makes solid walnut a defining part of its construction.

The vented cabinet incorporates an innovative reflex-port arrangement that also reveals the solid-wood rear chamber of the tweeter.
