The Salamander Designs Alex II is premium, made-to-order seating for home theaters, media rooms and high-end listening spaces. Its classic club-chair design combines a low-profile back, sculpted arms, deep comfort and extensive customization.

Alex II can be configured as individual chairs or multi-seat rows in straight, curved, wedge and loveseat arrangements. Choose from more than 65 material and color options, power recline, heat and lumbar support, cup holders, stitching, accessories and even custom seat dimensions.

Straight, Curved or Custom

Alex II is a modular seating system designed around your room. Build a simple straight row, introduce wedge sections to create a curve, eliminate selected arms for loveseat configurations, or combine seating styles to fit the space.

Salamander can also accommodate deeper, wider and custom-sized seating, making Alex II suitable for rooms where standard theater chairs don't work.

Designed for Cinema and Serious Listening

Alex II's low-profile seat back isn't purely aesthetic. It helps minimize interference around the listener's head, making Alex II particularly well suited to surround sound, Dolby Atmos and two-channel listening rooms.

Its reclining design provides elevated leg support while maintaining a lower, more upright seat-back position—comfort without unnecessarily surrounding the listener's ears.

Premium Construction

Alex II uses 2.7-density high-density foam, contoured memory foam, no-sag tempered-steel springs and commercial-grade reclining mechanisms.

The frame combines laminated kiln-dried engineered plywood, Baltic birch and hardwoods, with reinforced mortise-and-tenon construction for long-term durability.

Upholstery & Comfort Options

Choose from Salamander's extensive selection of premium leathers, fabrics, textures and colors, with options for contrasting piping and stitching. Customer-supplied upholstery can also be accommodated for appropriate projects.
