Rotel RA-1592MKII Integrated Amplifier

The Rotel RA-1592MKII Integrated Amplifier is Rotel’s high-power, full-featured Class AB integrated amplifier, delivering 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and up to 350 watts per channel into 4 ohms. It combines Rotel’s in-house power-supply engineering with a premium Texas Instruments 32-bit/384 kHz DAC, balanced XLR connectivity, Moving Magnet phono stage, PC-USB, Bluetooth, dual speaker outputs, preamp and subwoofer outputs, and extensive system-control capability. Designed to eliminate the need for separate preamplifier, DAC and power-amplifier components, the RA-1592MKII has the output and current capability required for serious floorstanding loudspeakers while supporting analog, vinyl, high-resolution digital and wireless sources from a single chassis.

350-Watt Class AB Amplification

The RA-1592MKII uses a high-current Class AB output stage rated at 200 watts per channel continuously into 8 ohms, rising to a maximum 350 watts per channel into 4 ohms. Total harmonic distortion is specified below 0.008%, with intermodulation distortion below 0.03%. Rotel

A high 600 damping factor contributes to tight electrical control of connected loudspeakers, particularly through demanding low-frequency passages and changing impedance loads. Rotel

Rotel-Built Toroidal Power Supply

Power is supplied by a large toroidal transformer manufactured in-house by Rotel, feeding an array of high-performance slit-foil storage capacitors. Rotel specifically designed the power supply to provide the current reserve required by the 200-watt-per-channel output stage. Rotel

This substantial power architecture is a major distinction between the RA-1592MKII and lower-powered integrated amplifiers, allowing it to drive larger and more demanding loudspeakers without requiring a separate power amplifier.

Texas Instruments 32-Bit/384 kHz DAC

Digital conversion is handled by a premium Texas Instruments DAC, with Rotel tuning the surrounding output-filter circuitry as part of the RA-1592MKII’s analog signal path. Rotel

The asynchronous PC-USB input supports USB Audio Class 2.0 up to 32-bit/384 kHz, while coaxial and optical S/PDIF inputs accept LPCM up to 24-bit/192 kHz. USB Audio Class 1.0 supports up to 24-bit/96 kHz according to Rotel’s current specification sheet. Rotel

The RA-1592MKII also supports MQA and MQA Studio up to 24-bit/384 kHz via PC-USB and is Roon Tested. Rotel

Balanced XLR & Analog Connectivity

For higher-end analog sources, the RA-1592MKII provides balanced XLR inputs in addition to conventional RCA line-level connections. Its analog section is specified with frequency response extending from 10 Hz to 100 kHz ±0.5 dB and a line-level signal-to-noise ratio of 103 dB. Rotel

The rear panel also provides preamp outputs and dual mono subwoofer outputs, making it easy to expand the system with external amplification or powered subwoofers. Rotel

Moving Magnet Phono Stage

A dedicated Moving Magnet phono stage allows a compatible turntable to connect directly to the RA-1592MKII.

Rotel specifies the MM input at 5.2 mV sensitivity, 47kΩ input impedance and 52 mV overload capability, with frequency response from 20 Hz–20 kHz ±0.5 dB. Rotel

Bluetooth aptX & AAC

Integrated Bluetooth with aptX and AAC provides convenient wireless playback from compatible phones, tablets and computers. Rotel also offers an updated Bluetooth 5.1 aptX HD module for the RA-1592MKII. Rotel

For critical listening and high-resolution playback, PC-USB, coaxial and optical inputs provide direct wired digital connections.

Speaker A/B & System Expansion

Selectable Speaker A and Speaker B outputs allow the RA-1592MKII to operate two compatible speaker pairs, while its preamp and subwoofer outputs provide flexibility for more elaborate systems. Rotel

Custom Integration & Control
