Overview
Rotel RA-1572MKII Integrated Amplifier
The Rotel RA-1572MKII Integrated Amplifier combines serious Class AB amplification with a full-featured analog and digital preamplifier in one chassis. It delivers 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms and up to 200 watts per channel into 4 ohms, backed by an oversized Rotel-built toroidal transformer and four low-ESR T-Network slit-foil storage capacitors. Rotel
Its source flexibility is equally comprehensive: balanced XLR and RCA analog inputs, Moving Magnet phono, Texas Instruments 32-bit/384 kHz DAC, PC-USB, coaxial and optical digital inputs, aptX/AAC Bluetooth, MQA support and Roon Tested certification. The RA-1572MKII is designed as a true control center for a high-performance two-channel system. Rotel
200-Watt Class AB Amplification
The RA-1572MKII's discrete Class AB output stage produces 120W per channel continuously into 8 ohms, with maximum output increasing to 200W per channel into 4 ohms. Rotel's current U.S. product page also specifies 135W/ch FTC into 4 ohms. Rotel
Total harmonic distortion is rated below 0.018%, intermodulation distortion below 0.03%, and damping factor at 300, giving the amplifier substantial control over demanding loudspeakers. Rotel
Oversized Rotel Toroidal Power Supply
Rotel manufactures the RA-1572MKII's oversized toroidal transformer in-house. Its design helps minimize stray electromagnetic radiation around sensitive audio circuitry.
The transformer feeds four low-ESR, high-efficiency T-Network slit-foil storage capacitors, providing the current reserve needed for dynamic peaks and controlled low-frequency reproduction. Rotel
Texas Instruments 32-Bit/384 kHz DAC
Digital conversion is handled by a premium Texas Instruments 32-bit/384 kHz DAC paired with critically tuned output-filter circuitry. Rotel
The asynchronous PC-USB connection supports USB Audio Class 2.0 at up to 32-bit/384 kHz, while coaxial and optical S/PDIF inputs support LPCM up to 24-bit/192 kHz. PC-USB also supports MQA and MQA Studio up to 24-bit/384 kHz, and the amplifier is Roon Tested. Rotel
Balanced XLR & Extensive Analog Connectivity
The RA-1572MKII adds balanced XLR inputs alongside its RCA line-level connections, making it a strong match for higher-end DACs, streamers and disc players with balanced analog outputs.
Its line-level analog circuitry has a specified frequency response of 10 Hz–100 kHz ±0.5 dB and a 100 dB signal-to-noise ratio. RCA and XLR inputs both carry a 100kΩ input impedance. Rotel
Moving Magnet Phono Stage
Vinyl playback is handled by a dedicated Moving Magnet phono input, allowing a compatible turntable to connect without an external phono preamplifier.
The MM stage is specified at 2.1 mV sensitivity, 47kΩ input impedance and 32 mV input overload, with frequency response extending from 20 Hz–20 kHz ±0.5 dB. Rotel
Bluetooth, Headphones & Speaker A/B
Wireless playback is supported through Bluetooth with aptX and AAC. For private listening, the front panel includes a 3.5 mm headphone output. Rotel
Selectable Speaker A/B outputs add flexibility for operating multiple speaker pairs or a secondary listening zone.
System Integration
The RA-1572MKII is also designed for professionally integrated systems. Ethernet and RS232 connectivity support control-system integration and software updates, while the rear panel also provides 12V trigger, Rotel Link and external remote connections. Rotel

Rotel's current product page and specification sheet differ slightly on one USB Class 1 figure: the current specification PDF lists 24-bit/96 kHz, while one version of Rotel's web page displays 24-bit/192 kHz. I would use the current manufacturer specification sheet's 24-bit/96 kHz figure for the Shopify listing. Rotel
