Michi P5 Series 2 Stereo Preamplifier & DAC

The Michi P5 Series 2 is the control center for a serious high-performance two-channel system, combining a fully featured analog preamplifier, dual high-end ESS SABRE DACs, MM/MC phono stage and extensive digital connectivity in one beautifully engineered component.

Designed as the natural partner for Michi power amplifiers like the S5 and M8, the P5 Series 2 gives you the flexibility to connect virtually every source in a modern reference audio system without sacrificing the performance expected at this level.

Dual ESS SABRE ES9028PRO DACs

One of the biggest upgrades in the P5 Series 2 is its digital architecture.

Michi uses two ESS SABRE ES9028PRO 32-bit 8-channel DACs, with one DAC dedicated to each channel and configured in mono mode.

Each channel uses eight DAC circuits working together to extract greater detail while maintaining an exceptionally low noise floor and expansive soundstage.

It's an unusually serious digital section for a preamplifier and means a separate DAC isn't automatically required to build a high-end digital system around the P5 Series 2.

High-Resolution Digital Audio

The P5 Series 2 supports a wide range of digital sources.

Both balanced XLR and RCA line-level inputs are provided, making it easy to integrate high-end source components ranging from a dedicated DAC or streamer to a CD player, tape deck or other analog source.

Built-In MM & MC Phono Stage

Vinyl wasn't treated as an afterthought.

The P5 Series 2 includes a phono stage supporting both:

Moving Magnet (MM)
Moving Coil (MC)

MM input sensitivity is 2.5mV with a 47kΩ input impedance, while MC sensitivity is 250µV with a 100Ω input impedance.

That makes the P5 Series 2 capable of becoming the center of a serious analog and digital system without automatically requiring an external phono preamplifier.

aptX HD Bluetooth

For convenient wireless listening, the P5 Series 2 includes Bluetooth with:

Bluetooth isn't going to replace a reference digital source, but it's extremely useful when someone simply wants to connect a phone or tablet and start listening.

Balanced System Architecture

The P5 Series 2 provides balanced XLR connectivity for pairing with high-performance power amplifiers.
