The AudioQuest PowerQuest G8 is a compact 8-outlet surge protector and performance enhancer designed to provide better protection and cleaner AC power for audio, video, gaming, computer, and home entertainment systems. Its slim design makes it particularly useful behind TVs, furniture, media consoles, and other installations where a conventional component-style power conditioner isn't practical.

Unlike the larger PowerQuest power conditioners, the G8 focuses on three core technologies: Micro-Spike Protection, Catastrophic-Surge Protection, and RF Noise-Dissipation. It also adds protected high-speed USB-A and USB-C charging.

Protection from Everyday Power Spikes

The G8 isn't just intended for major surge events. AudioQuest's Micro-Spike Technology addresses the smaller transient spikes generated by appliances, machinery, and other devices connected to the electrical system.

AudioQuest's approach is intended to prevent these transient events from sending unwanted energy into the circuit ground of connected audio and video components, while Catastrophic-Surge Protection handles much larger events.

RF Noise Dissipation

The PowerQuest G8 also incorporates AC-line RF filtration rated at -40 dB from 150 kHz to 100 MHz.

This targets radio-frequency interference associated with sources such as cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, satellite, and other RF signals. For an A/V system, that makes the G8 more than a conventional commodity surge strip—it combines equipment protection with AC noise management.

8 AC Outlets + USB Charging

The G8 provides eight protected AC outlets. Three are spaced farther apart to accommodate oversized power supplies and wall-wart-style adapters, while the remaining five accommodate conventional AC plugs.

A USB-A and USB-C port provide protected high-speed charging for phones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices.
