The Ortofon 2M Blue is a moving magnet phono cartridge designed for listeners seeking greater resolution, improved dynamics, and more precise groove tracking.
Its Nude Elliptical diamond stylus is mounted directly to the cantilever, allowing it to retrieve more information from the record groove than the bonded elliptical stylus used in the 2M Red. Ortofon's split pole pin technology and 5.5 mV output complete a cartridge designed for detailed, balanced vinyl reproduction.

Already own a 2M Red? The 2M Blue replacement stylus provides an upgrade path without replacing the entire compatible cartridge body.
Compatibility & Installation
The standard 2M Blue features ½-inch mounting and is intended for compatible turntables and tonearms. It requires a moving magnet phono input or external MM phono preamplifier.
For different mounting requirements, Ortofon also offers the 2M Blue Premounted for compatible S-shaped tonearms, the 2M Verso for bottom-mount headshells, and the low-profile 2MR Blue for turntables such as certain Rega models. These are separate configurations.

Where is your showroom?
We're at 6362 Alder Drive, Houston, Texas. The showroom lets you hear and compare reference-level systems in person before making any decisions. If you're considering a larger purchase or installation, it's well worth the visit.
Can I buy online without visiting the showroom?
Yes. The full product range is available through the online store with free nationwide shipping. For more complex system builds, speaking with one of our advisers first tends to lead to a better result.
Do you offer financing?
