Overview
Ortofon 2MR Red Moving Magnet Phono Cartridge
Low-profile design. Elliptical diamond stylus. 5.5 mV output.
The Ortofon 2MR Red brings the performance of the 2M Red to turntables that require a lower-profile cartridge. Its redesigned housing is 3 mm shorter than the standard 2M body, making it particularly suitable for compatible Rega turntables without requiring tonearm spacers.
Featuring an elliptical diamond stylus, aluminum cantilever, and Ortofon's quad-coil motor with split pole pins, the 2MR Red delivers an open, dynamic sound with a touch of warmth.
Its replaceable stylus and compatibility with the entire 2M stylus range also provide a convenient upgrade path as your vinyl system evolves.

Replacement Stylus & Upgrades
The designated replacement is the Ortofon Stylus 2M Red. The 2MR cartridge body also accepts other styli in the 2M range, providing an upgrade path without replacing the complete cartridge.
