The Ortofon 2M Black LVB 250 builds on the acclaimed 2M Black with two significant upgrades: a lightweight, exceptionally rigid boron cantilever and Ortofon's proprietary Nano Tube suspension system.
Its Nude Shibata diamond stylus features an extended contact area for precise groove tracing, while the boron cantilever improves responsiveness. The suspension incorporates Multi Wall Carbon Nano Tubes (MWCNT) to enhance damping and mechanical performance.
Originally introduced to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's birth, the LVB 250 delivers Ortofon's advanced moving magnet technology in a cartridge designed for serious vinyl playback.

Stylus Replacement & Upgrade Compatibility
The LVB 250 features a replaceable stylus. Ortofon identifies the Stylus 2M Black LVB 250 as a replacement for the standard, 2MR, and premounted LVB 250 cartridges.
It can also be used as an upgrade for compatible 2M Bronze and 2M Black cartridge bodies, including their 2MR and premounted versions.
Installation: The standard cartridge uses ½-inch mounting and requires a compatible tonearm and moving magnet phono stage. For other tonearm configurations, check the separately available premounted and low-profile 2MR versions.
