The DALI OPTICON LCR MK2 is a versatile on-wall loudspeaker designed to deliver high-fidelity sound without the footprint of traditional floorstanding or bookshelf speakers. Engineered for left, center and right channel applications, it combines a 6½-inch wood-fibre driver with DALI's patented Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) technology and signature hybrid tweeter module.

Its slim cabinet makes it particularly suited to wall-mounted stereo systems, premium living-room theaters and dedicated home cinemas. With a frequency response of 70Hz to 30kHz, wide dispersion and a 4-ohm nominal impedance, the OPTICON LCR MK2 brings the acoustic technologies of the OPTICON MK2 series to installations where both sound quality and discreet placement matter.

Multipurpose On-Wall Design

The OPTICON LCR MK2 is designed to function as a left, center or right channel speaker, giving homeowners and system designers considerable flexibility.

A matching set of three OPTICON LCR MK2 speakers can form the front soundstage of a premium home theater, helping maintain consistent tonal characteristics as dialogue and sound effects move across the screen. Alternatively, a stereo pair provides a space-efficient solution for music listening in rooms where conventional speaker stands or floorstanding cabinets are impractical.

6½-Inch Wood-Fibre Driver with SMC Technology

At the heart of the OPTICON LCR MK2 is a 6½-inch bass/midrange driver featuring DALI's paper-pulp and wood-fibre diaphragm.

The lightweight cone is engineered to minimize unwanted resonances while maintaining the responsiveness needed for accurate midrange and bass reproduction. Its low-loss design helps preserve the character of vocals, acoustic instruments and complex musical passages.

DALI's patented SMC motor system incorporates a ferrite ring magnet and a pole piece manufactured from Soft Magnetic Compound material. This construction reduces magnetic hysteresis and eddy currents, helping minimize third-order distortion and maintain clarity at demanding listening levels.

DALI Hybrid Tweeter Module

The OPTICON LCR MK2 features DALI's signature hybrid tweeter module, combining a 29mm soft-dome tweeter with a custom 17 × 45mm planar high-frequency driver.

Both drivers are mounted on a rigid cast-aluminum faceplate incorporating dispersion-control details. The soft dome reproduces the primary treble range, while the planar element contributes extended high-frequency detail.

The hybrid configuration is engineered for wide dispersion, maintaining a detailed, consistent presentation for listeners seated across a room rather than restricting optimal sound to a narrow listening position.

This makes the OPTICON LCR MK2 particularly useful in home theaters with multiple seating positions and living spaces where speakers must accommodate the room's layout.

Slim Cabinet and Danish Construction

The OPTICON LCR MK2 combines a low-profile enclosure with the cabinet engineering found throughout DALI's OPTICON MK2 series.

A substantial 25mm front baffle and additional internal bracing provide a rigid foundation for the drivers, helping reduce unwanted cabinet resonance.

The speakers are manufactured and tested at DALI's production facilities in central Denmark, where cabinet fabrication, surface finishing, driver installation and crossover assembly are carried out.

The result is an on-wall loudspeaker that combines discreet installation with the construction standards of a traditional high-performance HiFi speaker.

Stereo and Home Theater Applications

With 89dB sensitivity, a 4-ohm nominal impedance and a recommended amplifier power range of 30–150 watts, the OPTICON LCR MK2 is designed to partner with capable integrated amplifiers, AV receivers and dedicated home theater amplification.

Its 109dB maximum sound pressure level provides the dynamic capability needed for demanding music and movie soundtracks, while its wall-mounted design frees up valuable floor space.

For a complete home theater, the OPTICON LCR MK2 can be combined with other OPTICON MK2 speakers and an appropriately selected subwoofer. A matched three-speaker LCR configuration is also an option for installations prioritizing consistent front-channel performance.
