Nordost QRT AC Enhancer & AC Line Harmonizer Plug-Ins

Nordost’s QRT AC Enhancers and AC Line Harmonizers are modular power-optimization products designed to improve the AC environment feeding high-performance two-channel audio and home theater systems. The range includes the QKOIL, QSINE, QVIBE, and QWAVE, with each product addressing AC-related noise and interference in a different way. They can be used individually or together as part of a complete Nordost QRT system.

Nordost separates the range into two technologies: QKOIL and QSINE are passive field generators, while QVIBE and QWAVE are active AC Line Harmonizers that introduce calculated pulsed frequencies synchronized to the incoming 50/60 Hz AC waveform.

QKOIL – AC Enhancer

The Nordost QKOIL is a passive AC Enhancer featuring a Load Resonating Coil (LRC) constructed with Nordost’s patented Micro Mono-Filament technology. It generates a field designed to influence the AC environment without restricting current flow.

It introduces a carefully calculated range of pulsed frequencies onto the AC line, synchronized to the original 50 or 60 Hz waveform. Nordost designed this process to influence AC harmonics and improve both audio and video performance.

Designed to Work Together

Although QKOIL, QVIBE, QSINE, and QWAVE can each be used independently, Nordost specifically designed their effects to be cumulative when the products are combined. Nordost identifies benefits such as reduced EMI, a lower perceived noise floor, greater clarity and detail, improved soundstage dimensionality, and improved tonal balance.

All four products are offered for 115V or 230V applications, with US, European, and Australian connector configurations. A Schuko-to-UK adapter is also available.
