The Naim NAP 350 is a reference-grade monoblock power amplifier from Naim's New Classic 300 Series, engineered to deliver exceptional dynamic range, precise loudspeaker control and substantial current reserves. Producing 175 watts into 8 ohms and 345 watts into 4 ohms, each NAP 350 uses fully regulated Class AB amplification, Statement-derived output transistors and Naim's Discrete Regulator (DR) technology.

Designed to drive large and demanding loudspeakers, the NAP 350 can deliver up to 1.7kW of instantaneous peak power. Its true balanced XLR input allows integration with the Naim NAC 332 preamplifier and other compatible high-end audio components, making a pair of NAP 350 amplifiers the foundation of a powerful reference stereo system.

175 Watts of Fully Regulated Class AB Power

Each NAP 350 is a dedicated single-channel amplifier, delivering 175 watts into 8 ohms at 0.1% THD+N and 345 watts into 4 ohms at 1% THD+N.

Its high-current architecture is designed to maintain control when driving loudspeakers with complex crossover networks and demanding impedance characteristics. Under specified short-duration test conditions, the amplifier delivers 610 watts into 2 ohms and up to 42 amps of peak current into 1 ohm.

This reserve of power gives the NAP 350 the ability to reproduce demanding musical passages while maintaining control over large, high-performance loudspeakers.

Statement-Derived NA009 Output Transistors

The NAP 350 incorporates Naim's custom NA009 power transistors, originally developed for the company's flagship Statement amplifier.

Eight NA009 transistors are used in each amplifier: four in the regulated power supplies and four in the output stages. Each transistor is mounted on a ceramic insulator to minimize unwanted capacitive coupling.

A redesigned output stage combines double driver and double power transistors, while a triple-transistor constant-current source supports the amplifier's sensitive gain circuitry.

These engineering developments allow the NAP 350 to deliver high current and rapid transient response while maintaining Naim's focus on low-noise analog performance.

Discrete Regulator Power-Supply Technology

Naim's DR technology is central to the NAP 350's design. Fully regulated power supplies provide stable, low-noise power to the amplifier's output circuitry, helping maintain consistent performance as musical demands change.

A substantial toroidal transformer supplies the main analog circuitry, while a separate high-efficiency power supply handles standby operation.

The amplifier also incorporates a soft-start sequence to manage the initial electrical demand of its large transformer, reducing the risk of tripping mains circuit breakers during startup.

True Balanced XLR Connectivity

The NAP 350 features a true balanced XLR input with a 47kΩ input impedance, providing compatibility with the NAC 332 and other preamplifiers equipped with suitable balanced outputs.

Its input circuitry uses low-noise Class A buffers, preserving the advantages of balanced signal transmission before the signal reaches the amplifier's gain and output stages.

For owners of compatible legacy Naim equipment, a dedicated adapter cable allows the amplifier to accept a single-ended connection. This flexibility makes the NAP 350 suitable for both complete New Classic installations and carefully planned upgrades to existing HiFi systems.

Designed for the New Classic 300 Series

The NAP 350 is designed to partner with the Naim NAC 332 analog preamplifier and NSS 333 network music player.

A pair of NAP 350 monoblocks provides independent amplification for the left and right loudspeakers, while the NAC 332 handles source selection and volume control. The NSS 333 adds high-resolution network streaming and digital playback.

Optical system automation connections allow compatible New Classic components to coordinate power and front-panel illumination settings. This enables a multi-component reference system to operate with the convenience of an integrated HiFi system.

Precision Aluminum Construction and Silent Cooling

The NAP 350 features Naim's New Classic industrial design, with substantial aluminum construction and carefully engineered thermal management.

Its 20mm-thick aluminum front panel is complemented by thermally conductive side heatsinks and 5mm top and bottom plates. Brushed, sandblasted and anodized finishes give the amplifier a distinctive appearance while providing a durable exterior.

The passive cooling system operates without fan noise, allowing the NAP 350 to be installed in a dedicated listening room without introducing mechanical noise from its cooling system.
