The Michell Revolv is a precision-engineered British belt-drive turntable that brings advanced analog technology to a minimalist, unsuspended design. Positioned between the TecnoDec and the fully suspended Gyro, the Revolv combines a solid aerospace-grade aluminum chassis, a high-inertia Delrin platter and an independently housed motor to provide a stable foundation for high-fidelity vinyl playback.

Precision-Machined Aluminum Chassis

The Revolv is built around a solid 19mm aerospace-grade aluminum tooling-plate chassis. Unlike Michell's suspended Gyro, it uses an unsuspended architecture designed to provide direct mechanical grounding and a rigid foundation for the platter and tonearm.

A precision-machined aluminum arm plate creates a secure mechanical connection between the tonearm and chassis. This construction helps maintain the alignment and stability essential to accurate stylus tracking.

High-Inertia Delrin Platter with Brass Weights

The Revolv features a precision-engineered Delrin platter incorporating 10mm peripheral brass weights.

Positioning additional mass around the platter's outer circumference increases rotational inertia, helping resist small variations in rotational speed. Delrin provides a precisely machinable platter material, while the brass weights contribute to the turntable's distinctive appearance.

Inverted Bearing with Mono-Helix Oil Circulation

At the center of the Revolv is an inverted main bearing incorporating a mono-helix oil-circulation system.

The bearing's internal geometry is designed to circulate lubricant during operation, maintaining lubrication at the mechanical interface between the bearing components.

By combining a precision bearing with the high-inertia platter, Michell provides the mechanical foundation required for smooth, consistent rotation and low-noise playback.

Six-Node Sorbothane Isolation

Rather than using the spring suspension found on the Gyro, the Revolv employs advanced Sorbothane isolation feet with six damping nodes.

These feet are designed to reduce the transmission of unwanted vibration from the supporting furniture into the turntable. Their damping properties complement the rigid aluminum chassis, helping isolate the platter and tonearm from external mechanical interference.

The Revolv features a heavy, freestanding motor pod that is physically separate from the turntable chassis. Its only mechanical connection to the platter is the drive belt, reducing the direct transmission of motor vibration into the playback assembly.
