DALI MENUET – Compact High-End Bookshelf Speakers

Product Description

The DALI MENUET is a compact high-end bookshelf speaker designed to deliver exceptional musical performance from an enclosure small enough to fit discreetly into almost any room. Combining a 4½-inch wood-fibre woofer with an oversized 28mm soft-dome tweeter, the MENUET produces articulate bass, natural midrange and detailed high frequencies without the footprint of a conventional stand-mount loudspeaker.

Its carefully engineered cabinet, integrated bass reflex port and flexible mounting options make it suitable for intimate stereo listening systems, premium living spaces and discreet home theater installations. Despite its small dimensions, the MENUET is designed to reproduce music with impressive dynamics, clarity and stereo imaging.

4½-Inch Low-Loss Wood-Fibre Woofer

The MENUET features a specially engineered 4½-inch bass/midrange driver incorporating DALI's signature wood-fibre cone and an extra-strong magnetic motor system.

The lightweight diaphragm is designed to respond accurately to subtle changes in the audio signal, while the driver's low-loss construction supports controlled bass and open midrange reproduction. DALI has also optimized airflow around the woofer to help it perform effectively within the speaker's compact enclosure.

This combination allows the MENUET to reproduce vocals, acoustic instruments and complex musical passages with a level of detail and dynamic expression that belies its size.

Oversized 28mm Soft-Dome Tweeter

High frequencies are handled by a 28mm soft-dome tweeter developed by DALI specifically for accurate, low-distortion reproduction.

Its oversized diaphragm, low-mass moving assembly and powerful magnetic motor are engineered to deliver detailed treble with speed and precision. The tweeter integrates with the 4½-inch woofer through a carefully designed two-way crossover operating at 3,000Hz.

DALI's wide-dispersion design philosophy helps the MENUET create an expansive stereo image while maintaining a natural tonal balance across the listening area.

Integrated Bass Reflex Port

One of the MENUET's distinguishing features is its integrated bass reflex port and speaker terminal assembly.

By incorporating the reflex port into the rear terminal tray, DALI makes efficient use of the cabinet's limited internal space while supporting flexible placement. The design allows the speaker to be positioned on a bookshelf, mounted on a wall or placed relatively close to a rear wall.

Working alongside the 4½-inch woofer, the bass reflex system helps the MENUET achieve a published frequency response of 59Hz to 25kHz.

For listeners seeking additional low-frequency extension, a properly integrated subwoofer can complement the MENUET in both stereo and home theater systems.

Compact Cabinet and Flexible Placement

The DALI MENUET's cabinet is designed to maximize internal volume while maintaining exceptionally compact external dimensions. Its rounded edges provide a refined appearance, making the speaker suitable for living rooms, offices, bedrooms and dedicated listening spaces.

Threaded inserts on the rear of the cabinet accommodate compatible wall-mounting hardware, allowing the MENUET to be installed without conventional speaker stands.

Its flexible placement options also make it an attractive choice for premium multichannel systems, particularly when paired with complementary DALI loudspeakers.

High-Performance Stereo and Home Theater

With 86dB sensitivity, a 4-ohm nominal impedance and a recommended amplifier power range of 20–100 watts, the MENUET is designed to partner with appropriately matched stereo amplifiers and home theater electronics.

A stereo pair can form the foundation of a compact HiFi system, offering detailed music reproduction without dominating the room. In a home theater, the MENUET can also serve as a discreet front or surround speaker.

Its compact enclosure, substantial magnetic motor system and carefully matched drivers make it especially appealing to listeners who want high-quality sound in spaces where larger loudspeakers are impractical.
