The MartinLogan Illusion ESL C34A is the flagship center channel of the Masterpiece Series, combining a 34.5 × 8-inch XStat CLS electrostatic transducer, dual Folded Motion XT tweeters, and four powered 6.5-inch aluminum-cone woofers. A built-in 250-watt Class D amplifier, 24-bit Vojtko DSP, PoweredForce bass technology, and Anthem Room Correction give the C34A the scale and control required for reference-level home theater. Unlike a conventional horizontal center speaker, the Illusion ESL C34A is a substantial floorstanding center channel, engineered to reproduce dialogue, effects, music, and the critical center portion of the front soundstage while remaining timbre-matched to MartinLogan Masterpiece Series electrostatic loudspeakers. XStat CLS Electrostatic Midrange
The Illusion ESL C34A uses MartinLogan's XStat Curvilinear Line Source electrostatic transducer as its midrange driver. The panel measures 34.5 inches wide × 8 inches high, providing the low-mass diaphragm and controlled radiation fundamental to MartinLogan's electrostatic designs. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Dual Folded Motion XT Tweeters

Low frequencies are reproduced by four 6.5-inch cast-basket, high-excursion aluminum-cone woofers arranged in non-resonant asymmetrical chambers.

250-Watt Amplification & 24-Bit Vojtko DSP
The four woofers are powered by an integrated 250-watt Class D amplifier with 500-watt peak capability. A 24-bit Vojtko DSP engine controls the active bass section, including low-pass filtering, woofer equalization, and limiting. MartinLogan, Ltd.
This active architecture allows MartinLogan to optimize the bass system independently while the connected home-theater amplifier drives the electrostatic and Folded Motion XT sections.
Anthem Room Correction
The Illusion ESL C34A is Anthem Room Correction (ARC) ready, allowing its powered bass section to be calibrated for the room.
ARC measures low-frequency behavior at the listening position and applies correction to the active woofer system, addressing room-induced peaks and cancellations without requiring digital processing of the electrostatic panel. An ARC or compatible PBK microphone kit is required and sold separately. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Vojtko Crossover & WBT nextgen Connections
MartinLogan's advanced Vojtko crossover integrates three distinct transducer systems—the electrostatic panel, Folded Motion XT tweeters, and powered aluminum woofers—at 500 Hz and 2,000 Hz.
The network incorporates a custom-wound audio transformer, air-core inductors, polypropylene capacitors, and DSP-based active bass electronics.
