The MartinLogan Depth 215 is the flagship of the Depth Series, engineered for reference two-channel audio and high-performance home theater. Dual opposing 15-inch Carbon Aerocore woofers, 2,200 watts RMS / 4,400 watts dynamic peak amplification, BalancedForce architecture, a 64-bit Vojtko DSP engine, Anthem Room Correction, app control, and integrated wireless connectivity combine in a subwoofer capable of reaching 18 Hz while prioritizing low distortion and control. Dual 15-Inch BalancedForce Woofer System

The Depth 215 uses two active 15-inch high-excursion woofers positioned in exact opposition. MartinLogan's BalancedForce topology uses the equal and opposite mechanical forces generated by the drivers to substantially reduce energy transferred into the enclosure.

Reducing cabinet vibration is especially important at high output levels, where enclosure resonance can obscure low-frequency detail. Rather than relying on cabinet mass alone, BalancedForce addresses these mechanical forces at their source. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Carbon Aerocore Woofers

Each 15-inch driver uses MartinLogan's Carbon Aerocore cone, a three-layer structure combining an integral carbon-fiber outer layer, lightweight PMI structural-foam core, and fiberglass rear layer.

The construction is designed to combine high rigidity with low moving mass and internal damping. The woofers also incorporate under-spider, voice-coil and pole-piece venting plus dual copper shorting rings to further reduce distortion and improve thermal and mechanical performance. 2,200 Watts RMS / 4,400 Watts Dynamic Peak

The Depth 215 contains two reference-grade Class D amplifiers, with each amplifier dedicated to one 15-inch woofer.

Combined output is rated at an exceptional 2,200 watts RMS with 4,400 watts dynamic peak capability. The substantial power reserve gives the dual-driver system the headroom required for demanding movie effects while retaining the transient control necessary for high-end music reproduction. 64-Bit Vojtko DSP

An ultra-high-resolution 500 MHz Vojtko DSP engine with 64-bit processing controls the Depth 215's low-frequency system in real time.

The DSP architecture supports crossover control, phase adjustment, listening modes, low-frequency contouring, wireless operation, app control, and Anthem Room Correction Genesis while allowing MartinLogan to optimize the drivers and amplifiers as a complete system. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Anthem Room Correction Genesis

The Depth 215 supports Anthem Room Correction (ARC Genesis) for precise low-frequency integration with the listening environment.

ARC measures the subwoofer's behavior in the room and generates correction filters to address room-induced peaks and response irregularities. For a subwoofer capable of significant output below 20 Hz, proper placement and room correction can be just as important as raw amplifier power.

MartinLogan Subwoofer Control App

The MartinLogan Subwoofer Control app provides real-time adjustment from the listening position via Bluetooth. Available controls include level, low-pass frequency and slope, phase, polarity, listening mode, 20–30 Hz output, ARC, wireless configuration, and additional system settings. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Three preset listening modes—Music, Movie, and Night—provide fast optimization for different applications.

Integrated Wireless Connectivity

The Depth 215 incorporates both an integrated wireless receiver and included wireless transmitter, providing an alternative to running a long signal cable across the room.

MartinLogan specifies lossless transmission, forward-error correction, and low latency for the wireless system. Hardwired RCA, balanced XLR, and speaker-level inputs are also provided for extensive system compatibility. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Concealed Touch Control Interface

For direct operation, the Depth 215 incorporates a concealed Touch Control Interface (TCI) behind the illuminated MartinLogan front emblem.

The interface provides access to level, tone sweep, low-pass filter, phase and polarity, listening mode, 20–30 Hz adjustment, ARC, wireless operation, passcode lock, logo color, system information, and factory-reset functions. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Extensively Braced Variable-Thickness Cabinet

Controlling two high-output 15-inch woofers requires a substantial enclosure. MartinLogan uses an extensively braced cabinet with walls varying from 1 to 3 inches thick, working with the BalancedForce driver arrangement to suppress unwanted enclosure resonance. MartinLogan, Ltd.

The amplifier electronics are concealed within the enclosure, while extruded-aluminum rear trim pieces function as convection-cooled heatsinks. Inputs are positioned along the lower rear edge for cleaner cable management. MartinLogan, Ltd.
