MartinLogan Depth 212 Powered Subwoofer

Complimentary White Glove Delivery • Call us @ (713) 218-8120

The MartinLogan Depth 212 is a reference-grade powered subwoofer built around dual opposing 12-inch Carbon Aerocore woofers, 1,100 watts RMS / 2,200 watts dynamic peak amplification, BalancedForce technology, a 500 MHz 64-bit Vojtko DSP engine, and Anthem ARC Genesis room correction. With specified response extending to 18 Hz, it is engineered for high-end two-channel systems and serious home theater where deep bass must remain controlled, articulate, and low in distortion. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Dual 12-Inch BalancedForce Woofer System

Two active 12-inch woofers operate in exact opposition, allowing their mechanical forces to counteract one another. MartinLogan's BalancedForce architecture dramatically reduces energy that would otherwise be transferred into the cabinet as vibration and resonance.

The advantage isn't simply more bass. Reducing cabinet movement helps preserve low-frequency definition, transient accuracy, and integration with reference loudspeakers at demanding output levels. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Carbon Aerocore Woofers

The Depth 212 uses MartinLogan's Carbon Aerocore cone technology, engineered to combine low moving mass with the rigidity required for large driver excursions.

The high-excursion woofers use cast-aluminum baskets, under-spider and voice-coil venting, vented pole pieces, and dual copper shorting rings to improve thermal behavior and reduce distortion. MartinLogan, Ltd.

1,100 Watts RMS / 2,200 Watts Dynamic Peak

A reference-grade Class D amplifier provides 1,100 watts RMS and 2,200 watts dynamic peak power to the dual 12-inch BalancedForce system.

That power reserve gives the Depth 212 the output capability required for demanding cinematic effects while maintaining the precision necessary for high-end music reproduction. MartinLogan, Ltd.

64-Bit Vojtko DSP

A 500 MHz Vojtko DSP engine with 64-bit processing provides real-time control over the Depth 212's low-frequency system.

DSP supports crossover configuration, phase and polarity adjustment, listening modes, low-frequency contouring, app control, wireless operation, and Anthem ARC Genesis room correction. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Anthem ARC Genesis Room Correction

The Depth 212 supports Anthem Room Correction Genesis, measuring the subwoofer's response in the actual listening environment and creating correction filters to improve in-room bass consistency.

Importantly, MartinLogan's current Depth literature states that a premium ARC calibration microphone, adjustable stand, and required cables are included with the Depth 212. MartinLogan, Ltd.

MartinLogan Subwoofer Control App

Bluetooth connectivity allows the Depth 212 to be configured from the listening position using the MartinLogan Subwoofer Control app.

Adjustments include level, 35–120 Hz low-pass frequency, filter order, phase from 0–180°, polarity, 20–30 Hz output, ARC, and Movie, Music, or Night listening modes. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Built-In Wireless Connectivity

An integrated wireless receiver and included transmitter provide an alternative to running a long signal cable through the room.

For hardwired systems, the Depth 212 also provides RCA, balanced XLR, and speaker-level inputs, plus an RCA subwoofer output that sums connected inputs. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Concealed Touch Control Interface

Behind the illuminated MartinLogan front emblem is a concealed Touch Control Interface (TCI) providing direct access to the subwoofer's primary settings.

The interface controls level, tone sweep, low-pass filter, phase and polarity, listening mode, 20–30 Hz adjustment, ARC, wireless operation, passcode lock, logo color, system information, and additional setup functions. MartinLogan, Ltd.

Reference-Grade Cabinet Construction

The Depth 212 enclosure uses extensive internal bracing and variable wall thickness from 1 to 3 inches. Combined with the force-canceling BalancedForce driver configuration, the cabinet is engineered to minimize resonance rather than allowing enclosure vibration to become part of the sound. MartinLogan, Ltd.

MartinLogan also conceals the amplifier electronics within the cabinet. Extruded-aluminum rear trim components function as convection-cooled heatsinks, while signal and power connections are positioned low on the enclosure for cleaner cable management. MartinLogan, Ltd.
