The Marten Mingus Orchestra brings much of the technology and performance of the flagship Coltrane series into a more manageable reference floorstanding loudspeaker.

Built around dual pure diamond drivers, a 7-inch pure ceramic midrange, four 8-inch aluminum-sandwich bass drivers, four rear passive radiators, Marten's first-order crossover, and Jorma internal wiring, the Mingus Orchestra delivers extraordinary resolution, dynamics, scale, and low-frequency authority.

With frequency response extending from 22 Hz to an incredible 100,000 Hz ±2 dB, the Mingus Orchestra is designed to reproduce music with exceptional coherence and realism.

Dual Pure Diamond Drivers

The Mingus Orchestra uses two pure diamond drivers for its upper frequencies.

A 0.75-inch pure diamond tweeter is joined by a larger 2-inch pure diamond driver, providing exceptional speed, resolution, and extremely low distortion.

Diamond's combination of low mass, extreme rigidity, and thermal conductivity makes it an ideal material for high-frequency reproduction, allowing the drivers to reveal tremendous detail without sounding artificially bright or aggressive.

Ceramic Midrange & Powerful Bass

A 7-inch pure ceramic driver handles the critical midrange, combining extremely low mass with excellent rigidity and internal damping.

Low frequencies are produced by four 8-inch aluminum-sandwich Cell bass drivers, engineered for long excursion and extremely low distortion.

On the rear of the cabinet, four 10-inch passive aluminum-sandwich radiators further extend and control the lowest frequencies, helping the Mingus Orchestra achieve authoritative bass response down to 22 Hz.

First-Order Crossover

The Mingus Orchestra uses Marten's market-leading first-order crossover, developed specifically to integrate its Accuton Cell drivers.

The design provides exceptional time and phase coherence, allowing the individual drivers to reproduce the musical signal as one unified system.

Premium components include copper-foil air-core coils, silver/copper foil capacitors, silver foil capacitors, custom-made resistors, and Jorma internal cabling.

Built Like a Marten

The Mingus Orchestra cabinet uses 25–42mm fiber laminate construction finished in Piano Black, with solid-wood top and bottom sections handcrafted in Sweden.

Extensive internal bracing, carefully selected materials, and the cabinet's sculpted shape minimize resonance, reflections, and diffraction.

Polished stainless-steel supports incorporate Marten Isolators developed with IsoAcoustics, mechanically isolating the massive cabinet from the floor and further reducing unwanted resonance.
