The Marantz AV 20 & AMP 20 Home Theater System combines Marantz's reference 13.4-channel AV preamplifier with a powerful 12-channel amplifier to create the foundation for a serious private cinema or high-performance media room.

Marantz AV 20 – 13.4-Channel AV Preamplifier

The AV 20 serves as the command center of the system.

With up to 13.4 channels of processing, it can manage sophisticated immersive-audio systems while providing four independent subwoofer outputs for advanced low-frequency integration.

Surround formats include Dolby Atmos, DTS Pro, Auro-3D, IMAX Enhanced, 360 Reality Audio, and MPEG-H, giving the AV 20 the flexibility required for today's high-performance theater installations.

Both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA multichannel preamp outputs are provided for integration with the AMP 20 or other external power amplifiers.

Audyssey MultEQ XT32 & Dirac Live

Room correction and calibration are critical to getting the most from a high-performance theater.

The AV 20 includes Audyssey MultEQ XT32, along with Audyssey Dynamic EQ, Dynamic Volume, and LFC.

Bi-Amp & BTL Flexibility

The AMP 20 gives system designers considerable flexibility in how its 12 amplifier channels are deployed.

Channels can be configured for bi-amp or BTL operation, allowing additional amplifier resources to be dedicated to critical speakers when required.

In BTL configuration, the AMP 20 can deliver 400 watts into 8 ohms.

That flexibility makes the AMP 20 useful not only for conventional multichannel systems, but also for theaters where additional power is needed for the front soundstage.

Balanced & Unbalanced Connectivity

All 12 AMP 20 amplifier channels provide both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, selectable by channel.

Combined with the AV 20's balanced XLR outputs, this allows the processor and amplifier to be connected using a balanced signal path—particularly useful in professionally designed theaters where the equipment rack may be located away from the listening space.

The AV 20 features a copper-plated chassis, toroidal power transformer, current-feedback topology, Marantz HDAM circuitry, clock-jitter reduction, and gold-plated RCA terminals.

The AMP 20 uses a copper-plated chassis, 12 dedicated power-amplifier channels, high-quality Marantz speaker terminals, balanced connectivity, and front-panel level meter.
